Guided snowmobile tour to our catching places on the ice (if ice conditions are safe, otherwise we pick the crabs in the harbour). King Crab Catch. Transportation back to. ACTIVITY: HUSKY TOUR Pick up at hotel. This tour is one of the best ways to travel in the Arctic Tundra. You get warm clothing and will be taken to your husky team where you will get a short lesson on how to handle the dogs and your sledge. There are 2 people per sledge, one driver and one passenger. Of course you will have a guide to help you on your way to the forest. There will be short stops en route for photos. 4 WINTER : DEC-APRIL For dog- and nature lovers 3 days with dog sledging (KP03) This is unlike what many other suppliers offer a truly exclusive tour. Maximum 8 guests per tour, the guests do the actual sledding themselves and interact with our dogs. The guides are in front with their own team of dogs making sure everyone is doing well and find the right tracks of the day. This is a hands on tour. Our guests are with us on a traditional cabin tour like many Norwegians spend their weekends in a primitive cabin without electricity, internet or running water. The tour is built up counting on that the guests are helping with all tasks needed to be done out on tour together, such as carrying water, wood, feeding dogs and so on. Accommodation: traditional cabin in the woods, no running water or electricity, perfect nature experience and perfect spot to observe Northern lights involved in attaching/removing the harnesses and driving the dog sledges by themselves.
