DALLAS LOVE FIELD COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE September 26 October 2, 2015 Dallas Love Field Community Weekly Update Crazy little thing called Love Field By: Lanre Olaniyan IN THIS ISSUE Announcements Unmanned aircraft systems, commonly referred to as drones, use has been a huge topic in the news across the nation as of late with the ever-growing popularity of drones and the restrictions placed on cities due to the Papal visit. A reminder to the public: The FAA has restricted the use of drones within 5 miles (8 kilometers) of Dallas Love Field without prior notification and authorization from the airport operator and control tower. This is a topic the FAA and Dallas Love Field take extremely serious. The LOVE CONNECTION remote parking opened on September 21 st. You may also submit complaints via the Airport Communications Center at LOVE (5683). The Airport Communications Center (ACC) is staffed 24 hours a day to direct your airport related concerns. 2 DALLAS LOVE FIELD COMMUNITY WEEKLY UPDATE September 26 October 2, Construction Updates Runway Closures Scheduled Runway and Taxiway Closures All closures will be coordinated through Airport and will be permitted based on weather and operational impact. Sun/Sept 27 th at 23:30 Mon/Sept 28 th at 05:00: Runway 13R/31LR closed for Airfield Maintenance mowing in the Runway Safety Area and around signs. Mon/Sep 28 th from : Taxiway D between the approach end of Runway 36 and Runway 13R/31L will be closed for Airfield Maintenance painting markings. Mon/Sept 28 th at 23:30 Tues/Sep 29 th at 05:00: Taxiway G will be closed for Airfield Maintenance painting taxiway centerline, edge lines and enhanced taxiway centerline. Following completion of work on Taxiway G, Taxiway H will be closed for Airfield Maintenance painting the same markings. Tues/Sep 29 th at 23:30 Wed/Sep 30 th at 05:00: Taxiway L between Taxiways K and C7 will be closed for Airfield Maintenance painting the taxiway centerline and edge lines. Wed/Sept 30 th at 2330 Thur/Oct 1 st at 0500: Runway 13L/31R closed for Airfield Maintenance painting hold position markings on Taxiways A1 and A2 and conducting rubber removal on the runway. Ongoing Airfield Closures The following taxiways will remain closed until further notice: Taxiway B closed between Taxiway B1 and Taxiway R and Taxiway S closed for MCM pavement work. Taxilane P closed for RON C/Taxilane P realignment. RON A realigned to that location and Taxilane P relocated and redesignated Taxiway P * Please see the airport diagram on the next page for locations of runways and taxiways.
