Please visit the websites and face Book sites covering the event for updates, scores and news Welcome from Paul Baldacchino President MTBA Dear Mediterranean Federations, The 22 nd edition of the Mediterranean Bowling Championship will be held in MALTA. It is a great pleasure and honour for the Malta Tenpin Bowling Association to host another MBC, this event being the 3rd time that the MBC is being hosted on our small island. The MBC 2019 will be held again at the EDEN SUPERBOWL, home of the famous MALTA OPEN (June) and the MALTA SENIOR OPEN (October) annual international tournaments. The officials of the Malta Tenpin Bowling Association will do their utmost to help you enjoy your stay. We invite you to speak to us for any assistance needed and for any information required. 7 Official Hotels option 3 - District Hotel The District Hotel Santu Wistin Road, Paceville, St.Julians STJ3311 The District Hotel is a new hotel located 250 meters up the road from the Bowling Centre. Each elegantly-designed bedroom has its own private balcony, is air-conditioned and fitted with a flatscreen TV. All the spacious rooms include a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrooms offer a walk-in rain shower or a bath, and free guest toiletries. 9 Fees and payments Entry fee The MBC 2019 entry fee remains at 170 per person. This fee is payable for all members of the delegations, including players, coaches, managers, head of delegations and other officials connected to each team. Guest fee The MBC 2018 guest fee remains 100 per person. This fee is for additional guests arriving with the teams and staying at the official hotels. The fee includes airport transfers, shuttle service, bus transfer to the banquet as well entry to the banquet itself. Such guests can not have any duties related to any team. Extra Fees There will be a 50 charge for other visitors and unregistered guests booking for the banquette on the final night. Unofficial practice will be paid directly to the Eden Superbowl Bowling Center at a cost of 15 per lane per hour. Payment information All fees (including hotel accommodation) must be pre-paid, before the event. After receipt of forms A-D an Invoice will be issued and sent to each participating federation stating deadline of payment and Bank account information.

10 Bowling Centre EDEN SUPERBOWL The Eden Superbowl is a 20 lane bowling centre and has been hosting all the MTBA official events since The centre is also home of the famous MALTA OPEN (28 th Edition in June 2019) and the MALTA SENIOR OPEN (21 st edition in October 2018) annual international tournaments. 11 Other Information Travel There are many direct flights to Malta International Airport. Most major European cities are connected. Results All game by game results and standings will be provided by Rick Vogelesang and Mike Gatt, results will be published online over our web site. Shuttle (Airport, Hotel, Bowling Centre) All delegations will be met at the airport upon arrival and will be transported to the official hotel. A similar delivery service will be provided for the departures. Federations must provide their flight arrival and departure times with form E to make this service work properly. A shuttle bus service between the official hotel and the venue of the presentation party will also be provided to all players, coaches, officials and guests with an official entry. Please understand that we will not be able to provide airport transfers for teams arriving before 30th March or leaving after 8 April. Equipment Storage Bowling equipment will be stored in a designated area at the bowling centre. Proshop Services are provided by an independent Proshop run by AES Pro Shop. Tickets for the banquet will be charged 50 EUR (subject to availability) but the banquet will be complimentary for all players and members of the official delegations and guests registered on form B. Unofficial Practice Lanes will be available for unofficial practice on the 30 and 31 st March from 11.00am. Squads for unofficial practice sessions will be based on lane hours at 15 per lane per hour and are to be paid directly to the bowling centre on site. Spots will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please submit your reservations for the unofficial practice directly to bowladmin@edenleisure.com Please show up in time to avoid your spot being given away.

12 Team Registration It is very important that each team manager turns up for a team registration in the centre soonest possible after arrival. During the registration, we will validate the names of players, the nationality of the players, and all payments.
