3 2015 NPSA CONFERENCE & TRADESHOW INFORMATION PACKET PARIS HOTEL LAS VEGAS NV MAY 3-5, 2015 TRAVEL INFORMATION How Do I Get There? Las Vegas McCarran Airport is the recommended airport. The hotel is approximately 3.7 miles from the airport. A program on the Internet such as may be helpful in planning your overall trip. Is transportation available from the Airport to the Hotel? Taxi service is available outside on the East side of baggage claim outside door exits 1-5. Taxis will not accept credit card payments. There is a $1.20 charge on all fares originating at the airport. Shuttle and limousine service is available on the North and West side of baggage claim. Rental car customer counters are located in the center of the baggage claim area. Do I need a rental car? Not required, but would probably come in extremely handy. There is much to do in the local area and it is easier to coordinate your travel to/ from the regional airport. HOTEL INFORMATION How do I make Hotel Room Reservations? Paris Hotel For room reservations ($179 for May 3,4 &5), please contact the hotel directly. We do have a limited number of Paris Hotel s Red Rooms (premier) in our contract. These will be distributed on a first-come basis so please let the hotel know you would like a Red Room if available. Our other rooms are run-of-the-house. Paris Hotel reservation number is Or through the web link at: go/spnps5. Make sure you identify yourself as attending the conference for the National Portable Storage Association or use the code: SPNPS5. Reservations must be made by March 31, All reservations require a one night s deposit, plus tax, by check or credit card for each room reserved. Credit card deposits will be processed at the time the reservation is made. Cancellation of the hotel room must be made at least 72 hours in advance to avoid penalty of the first night s charges. Once your registration has been processed, the hotel will send you a written confirmation as guarantee. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. from Monday through Thursday and 5:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. You must check out no later than 11:00 a.m. to avoid additional charges. Arrangements for baggage storage can be made for earlier arrival or departures. If you have a rental car, there is ample parking available at PARIS Hotel. 1

4 REGISTRATION INFORMATION How do I register for the 2015 NPSA Conference & Tradeshow? Send in your completed registration form, along with payment now to the NPSA offices to obtain the early registration discount! We accept credit cards, checks drawn on a US Bank, or wire transfers. We do not invoice for registration fees: payment must accompany the form. Please note: Co-workers or individuals involved in the industry may not be included in the Spouse/Guest category. They must complete a separate registration form to attend. The Spouse/Guest category is designed for an attendee who does not participate in the industry, but is attending with someone who does. The Spouse/Guest generally does not attend educational events or the trade show, but can attend the reception/dinner and other meal functions. NON-MEMBERS may join the NPSA now and save. Circle that you would like to join on the registration form, then register at the member rate! (See the Registration Form on Page 21). Save $500 on your conference registration fees. Membership dues are effective for twelve months, with automatic renewal on your anniversary date. Registration fee entitles attendance at all meal and meeting funtions listed in the Schedule of Events. Member Early Bird $50 Discount registration deadline is April 3, Any member registrations received after that date will pay the regular conference fee. Note: If you do not register in advance, you will be charged an additional $75 for a walk-up registration. 6 GOLF EVENT I would like to golf, give me some more information on the golf event. Where is it being played? Shotgun Start 8:30am on Sunday May 3rd. Estimated Golf Package: $ per person Includes: Transportation to Golf Course, Coordinator, green fees, cart with GPS, pre-round use of the driving range, and tournament set-up Inclusive of Management Fee Badlands Golf Club more than lives up to its name. The three nines of this Johnny Miller/Chi Chi Rodriguez design weave through deep canyons. Whether it s the Outlaw, the Desperado or the Diablo nine, Badlands gives players shot making challenges. The 27 holes offer dramatic shot values, so no matter which 18 holes golfers play, it will be a very memorable outing. Four sets of tees make the course playable for beginners to pros -- just make sure to select the right set of tees for your handicap. On the Desperado nine, the eighth hole, a 196-yard par 3, is a knee-knocker. Players face a tee shot that carries over a deep ravine. On the Diablo nine, the 389-yard, par-4 15th brings out the best -- and sometimes the worst -- in players. On the Outlaw nine, the 27th hole -- the grand finale -- is everything a finishing golf hole should encompass. LE BAR DU SPORT Watch your favorite games on big-screen TVs while you enjoy a drink at this popular sports bar near the Paris Las Vegas Race & Sports Book. GUSTAV S Stay close to the action, or keep it going with video poker machines at this fully stocked Las Vegas bar under the leg of the Eiffel Tower. DINING Paris also has an array of fine dining, casual dining and lounges to select from. The featured restaurant is the Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse and the Restaurant at the Eiffel Tower. A FEW OTHER SUGGESTIONS NEW IN LAS VEGAS OUTSIDE If you have a chance to leave the hotel, you will find a myriad of activities. Just wandering around all of the different casinos can be fun in and of itself. You can also: Visit Hoover Dam or take a cruise on Lake Mead Take a helicopter or plane ride to the Grand Canyon Go Skydiving Hike Red Rock Canyon Raft the Colorado from the Hoover Dam (smooth) Raft the Colorado through the Grand Canyon (Class 3 and 4) Take a Thrill Ride tour of all of Las Vegas roller coasters Golf, Go horseback or ATV riding See a headline show; Visit a lounge act The web site holds a lot of information on shows, tours, area attractions and more. HIGH ROLLER AT THE LINQ HOTEL & CASINO High Roller, the world s largest observation wheel, in Sin City. At 550 feet tall (168m), Las Vegas newest attraction lives up to its name, offering unparalleled views of the downtown area, day and night. Ensconce yourself in one of the 28 air-conditioned pods for a half an hour you won t soon forget. 7

10 MISCELLANEOUS What is the Dress Code? Do I have to Wear a Nametag? Attire for the conference will be business professional. For men: casual slacks, open collar shirts. For ladies: casual slacks or skirts are appropriate. We request no jeans or shorts at the meetings. Remember, you will be representing the NPSA during your entire visit. Conference registration fee payment and nametags are required for admission to each function. In addition, nametags are required for admission to the meal functions. What Meals will be Provided? The primary meal functions are the Trade Show Continental Breakfast and Luncheon on May 4; the Trade Show Continental Breakfast and Luncheon on May 5 and the Receptions on May 3, 4 and 5. To help with our planning, please indicate on the meal registration form which meal functions you will be attending. Are Substitutions/Cancellations Allowed? All cancellations must be made in writing prior to April 27, Cancellations received on or before April 27, 2015 will receive a refund of fees, less a $100 processing charge. No refunds or credits will be made after April 27, No telephone cancellations will be accepted unless followed by confirmation in writing via fax (816) or to joel@npsa.org. The NPSA must provide guaranteed numbers to the hotel no later than 3/31/2015. Once this guarantee is provided the NPSA will be charged for your attendance at all meal functions whether you attend the conference or not. In addition, the NPSA has a room block requirement. Therefore we cannot be flexible on providing refunds or credits, as we will be financially liable to the hotel. Where are the Meeting Rooms Located? All the meeting space for this conference is located in the Conference Center. The Trade Show will be in the Concorde Ballroom and the Meetings will be directly across in the Versailles Ballroom. All meeting and activity locations should be confirmed with the hotel marquee as room locations are subject to change. NPSA will provide signage to each event for ease of locating. I Would Like to Provide a Gift or Giveaway, How Should I Go About This? That s great! Please notify NPSA Staff as to what your gift/giveaway is going to be and then ship to the hotel for arrival between April 28 and April 30. I Need to Ship Something to the Hotel, Where Should I Send It? The NPSA will have an office at the hotel. If you use the following information, the hotel will deliver your packages to the office and we will hold the item for you. You must notify NPSA Staff in advance as to what is being shipped and how many pieces are included in the shipment.
