5 Check-In: In order to make your check-in process a smooth one, please be familiar with the following: Check-in for units camping on Friday night will begin at 5:00 PM CDT on October 19 and last until the Leaders Roundtable at 9:30 PM. Check-in and on-site registration for units arriving on Saturday morning will be from 6:45 AM to 8:00 AM, when the opening ceremonies begin. Do not plan to set up camp on Saturday morning, there will be time around lunch to set up camp or after the Dirty Derby. Units towing a unit trailer will be allowed to pull their trailer to their campsite; however, all other gear will be delivered to campsites by camp staff so as to minimize vehicle traffic in camp. If your Cub Scout Pack is camping with a particular Boy Scout Troop, please try to coordinate the transport of gear in the Troop trailer. This will make check-in go much more smoothly. If your gear is not being transported in unit trailer, please proceed to the gear drop area on the far side of the gravel loop around the parking lot upon your arrival at camp. Each campsite will have a designated location for gear drop, and check-in staff will be able to direct units to their correct campsite and gear drop location. After gear is dropped off, all vehicles must be moved to the parking area. If you do not know where to go, look for the staff members who will be directing traffic at the camp entrance gateway. Some campsites may be shared by multiple Dens/Patrols and in some cases by multiple Packs. Please be respectful of your neighbors and share space accordingly. Your unit s designated registration person should check in at the Badgett OA Lodge at the west end of the main parking area. They will submit copies of your Scouts Health and Medical Records. They will also pick up your registration packet, which will include schedules for all your participants. If you are camping on Friday night, send at least one Adult Leader to the Leaders Roundtable at 9:30 PM at the Dining Hall. Remember to maintain two-deep leadership with your unit. General information: Anyone participating in or attending this event will be expected to follow BSA National Guidelines as outlined in the Guide to Safe Scouting. The Law is the Rule: Everyone is expected to abide by the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack and the Cub Scout Motto. Everyone must stay away from UNAUTHORIZED AREAS during the event. Buddy System: Everyone must use the Buddy System, pairs for safety. Unit Leaders or other adults should be notified before scouts leave their campsites. Arm Bands: Arm Bands will be issued to all paid participants and will be required to be worn to receive lunch and to participate in all activities. There will be blue bands for Cub Scouts and other youth participants, red bands for Boy Scout/Venturer Staff, green bands for adult staff, and white bands for all other attendees (age 12 and over). 3 Account #

6 Alcoholic Beverages: Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be tolerated, as it is against BSA policy. Possession or consumption of alcohol is grounds for immediate dismissal from the event. Smoking: BSA guidelines require a smoke-free environment for our Scouts. If you must smoke, please do so out of sight of youth participants and not inside any buildings. Please field dress your butts and dispose of them properly, remembering the ever present danger of wild fires. Vehicles: No participant vehicles will be allowed in camp except to drop a trailer at your campsite. RVs, ATVs, and bicycles are NOT allowed on camp for this event. Only Staff vehicles and staff carts are permitted in the main camp area after 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. All other vehicles must be moved to designated parking areas by that time. Parking: Park in designated parking areas only. Unit leaders need to help enforce this policy. We need to preserve Wildcat Hollow as much as possible. The primary parking area is inside the gravel loop in front of the Badgett OA Lodge. If that area fills, additional parking will be between the Gordon Health Lodge and the gravel road. Uniforms: Activity uniforms (also known as Class B uniforms, unit t-shirts, or other Scouting appropriate attire) are permitted during the opening ceremonies and activity rotations. The field uniform (also known as Class A uniform) should be worn at to the closing campfire. First Aid: You should have your own first aid kit in your campsite. Minor first aid should be handled at the Campsite. The Gordon Health Lodge will be manned during the day (9 AM to 6 PM) on Saturday. Medical Emergencies should be directed through Headquarters at the Badgett OA Lodge during other hours. Campsites: Follow BSA guidelines for camping. Walk, do not run, within your campsite. Remember to be aware of tent stakes and tie downs. Do not ditch or trench your tent. Closed toed shoes must be worn at all times. Leave no Trace. Trash your trash. It should be removed from all campsites. Absolutely NO pets. Please make certain before leaving on Sunday that your campsite is completely cleaned up and all campfires are completely extinguished. Campsites will be assigned by camp staff prior to your arrival. It is unlikely that any Pack will have a campsite completely to themselves. Make a new friend. Stoves and Lanterns: Follow BSA regulations for fuels. Keep open flames out of and at least 10 feet away from tents. Campfires: All campfires in Pack campsites must be under the supervision of an adult. Do not cut trees. Bring your own firewood or collect dead wood from downed trees and limbs. No pit/trench fires are allowed; use on the fire rings provided or bring your own above ground fire bowl. Never leave a campfire unattended, especially when going to bed. All campfires should be extinguished according to BSA guidelines cold to the touch. Please make certain before leaving on Sunday that your campsite is completely cleaned up and all campfires are completely extinguished. Chainsaws: No chainsaws are permitted. Knives, Hatchets, Axes, and Saws: Folding or pocket knives are permitted by those Scouts that have earned their Whittlin Chip or Totin Chip. No fixed blade, sheath or survival knives are permitted. Hatchets, axes and bow saws are only permitted in the axe yards of Boy Scout Troops or Venturing Crews. Firearms: No firearms are permitted at Wildcat Hollow during this event except the BB guns that are under the supervision of BSA-trained BB Gun Rangemasters. 4 Account #

7 Rocks and Sticks: Although tempting, rocks must not be thrown or kicked and sticks must not be swung. Injury/damage to property usually results from this action. Such actions will result in your being asked to leave the event immediately. Trash: Each Unit will be issued several trash bags and will be responsible for keeping their own campsite area clean. Trash will be collected on Saturday night beginning around 10:30 PM. Please place trash bags by your campsite entrance, next to the road. If your trash is not ready to be collected at the designated time, it must taken to the dining hall dumpster. No trash should remain in campsites over night; there are a variety of critters (skunks, raccoons, opossums, etc) that will visit your unit if this is not done. Cleanup: When your Unit is ready to leave camp we ask that you please clean up your campsite area and leave it the same as you found it, or better. Please take your trash to the dining hall dumpster (or home with you). Fees: Youth event fee includes all event activities and supplies, event patch, and lunch on Saturday. Adult fee only includes lunch on Saturday. All other meals are your responsibility if you are camping. Concessions will NOT be available. Specific activities/events are subject to change without notice. Dirty Derby: The highlight of the afternoon will be the Dirty Derby. Remember when you built your last Pinewood Derby Car and wished that there weren't SO many rules? Well this is it! In fact there are only five rules: 1. The size for the car is up to 4-½ wide, up to 6 high, and up to 18 long. 2. NO fuels, explosives, or mechanical drives. Gravity power ONLY. 3. Maximum weight of the car is 12 pounds (yes, pounds). 4. The car must have at least 4 wheels, and at least 4 wheels must touch the track. 5. The car body must have a wooden exterior with no exposed metal. That's it, anything else goes... NO other limit on materials used! Start building TODAY! Cub Scout Dens (Lion/Tiger/Wolf/Bear), Webelos Patrols, and Boy Scout Patrols can enter one car per Den/Patrol to race down the approximately 75-foot track. There will be two lanes, but no continuous lane separation beyond a short initial launch area. Do not expect your car to survive unchanged!! We don t call this derby Dirty just for fun. Awards & recognition will depend on the total number of entries by Cubs, Webelos, and Boy Scouts. At a minimum, the winner of the Webelos Dirty Derby will get to challenge the winner of the Boy Scout Dirty Derby in a single heat, winner-take-all finale!! 5 Account #
