1 The Senior Center Van Unfortunately, due to the unexpected illness of our van driver for several weeks, we have not been able to offer a regular/daily van service. I have reached out to the Norwood Borough and they have graciously been assisting us as much as possible. Our van driver will also be leaving us for another place of employment. As you know, Daryl was a great asset to the Center and he will be missed we wish him all the best! I am currently advertising for a new van driver. Rated: PG-13 2 hours Romance/Comedy February 26 - Strangers on a Train Starring: Farley Granger, Ruth Roman Bruno Antony thinks he has the perfect plot to rid himself of his hated father, and when he meets tennis player Guy Haines on a train he thinks he's found the partner he needs to pull it off. His plan is relatively simple: Two strangers each agree to kill someone the other person wants gone. For example, Guy could kill his father and he could get rid of Guy's wife Miriam, freeing him to marry Anne Morton, the beautiful daughter of a U.S. Senator. Guy dismisses it all out of hand, but Bruno goes ahead with his half of the "bargain" and disposes of Miriam. When Guy balks, Bruno makes it clear that he will plant evidence to implicate Guy in her murder if he doesn't get rid of his father. Guy had also made some unfortunate statements about Miriam after she had refused to divorce him. It all leads the police to believe Guy is responsible for the murder, forcing him to deal with Bruno's mad ravings. Rated: PG 1 hr./41 min. Crime

We collected dues in January for the Golden Age and will continue to collect dues until February 28 th. New membership is limited to Northvale residents and former residents at this time. We have some wonderful events starting with a luncheon at The Taste of Spain on February 13 th and on March 26 th, we will return to a favorite, LiGreci s in Staten Island to celebrate the Feast of Joseph. At the January meeting we presented the idea of placing a deceased loved one s name on a plaque that is currently on the wall in the center. The price is dependent on the number of letters and I calculated a couple of names and it comes out to be approximately $10.00 or less for a name and title.
