It sure has been quite a winter. Looking forward to nicer weather. All of us leprechauns had a fun day at our St. Patrick s Day Luncheon. Again, great food and great entertainment! Of course you know I will be planning something soon make sure you stay tuned. I am still in the process of seeking another lunch vendor. We will be collecting for the May 22 nd Anniversary Party at the Valley Brook Country Club. Members - $45, Guests - $50.

A full day of entertainment is planned. The cost is $65 for Members - $70 for Guests. DO YOU CROCHET? ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN THIS CRAFT?

3 From the desk of Arlene Rosa Our March trip to Doolan s for St. Patrick s Day was a great success. Now we move into April. We are looking forward to some warm weather. The trip to Westchester Theater is sold out. We will be collecting for the May 22 nd Anniversary Party at the Valley Brook Country Club. Members - $45, Guests - $50. John Micalizzi will be providing the entertainment. We will also be collecting for the June 13 th trip to the Hotel Fauchere in Milford, PA. A full day of entertainment is planned. Three people I know, have had this happen to them; one was just recently. They receive a phone call where the person states they are their grandchild. They do not give a name until the person called says so. They say yes, and say they are in trouble of some sort and need you to send money and to not mention any of the conversation to their family members. THIS IS A SCAM! HANG UP! DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY. Contact your local police department so they may be made aware of it. It is a discrace that these types of people exist in the world today! 4 A Heartfelt Thank You On behalf of the members of The Center, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the very informative presentation on the proper disposal of old medication and information on the unfortunate drug epidemic in our society today. Chief William Essmann shared very useful information about the possibility of any unused medication falling into the wrong hands. We were also treated to a delicious lunch. If you have any medicaton that you are no longer using, please bring them to the Northvale Police Department and they will dispose of them properly. Thank you again, to the Northvale Municipal Alliance Group for offering this to us. It was very much appreciated. Upcoming Spring/Summer Activities I am in the planning stages of offering some fun-filled spring/summer activities that is, of course, if the weather cooperates! I am looking into taking a day trip to Van Saun Park, having our very own picnic in our local town park, fishing at the Norwood Pond, a hot dog social and the possibility of having the infamous Fish Fry returning. Stay tuned for further details as they are finalized in the upcoming Newsletters.
