FAA Initiative: Following the successful completion of RSA Program, the FAA has initiated a Runway Incursion Mitigation Program FAA Preliminary Inventory of Airport Locations with Runway Incursions Primary cause: FAA has identified Airfield Geometry as a primary cause of Runway Incursions Nationwide: 74 Airports/ 113 locations/60 hot spots 804 Cumulative Runway Incursions 395 Peak Annual Runway Incursions BOS: Incursions at 3 out of 4 hot spots 31 Cumulative Runway Incursions 9 Peak Annual Runway Incursions 9
