4 AIRCOM Success Story VHF AIRCOM was launched 20 years ago as SITA s first step beyond ground network services into radio communications. AIRCOM VHF network has grown to provide coverage unequalled by any other line of sight radio network run by a single operator. 26 D-OTIS Trial SITA is responsible for project management and coordination, and for developing and hosting the D-OTIS ground server. SNBA specifies the on board D-OTIS application, and will retrofit all SNBA fleet (35 a/c, Avro RJ85/100, Bae146, A319 and A330). Belgocontrol provides access to Belgium ATIS and VOLMET data. Eurocontrol provides access to European AIS Database (EAD) for NOTAM retrieval. In collaboration with other partners (Blusky, Systex)

29 D-TAXI Trial SITA is responsible for project management and coordination, and provide datalink gateway. SNBA specifies the on board D-TAXI application, and will retrofit all SNBA fleet (35 a/c, Avro RJ85/100, Bae146, A319 and A330). Belgocontrol provides will implement the D- TAXI application on Brussels ATM system. NLR will provide safety and human factors expertise. 31 ADS-B Partnership with Airservices Australia Airservices Australia are pioneering operational introduction of ADS-B Services SITA has partnered with Airservices to promote and develop a Regional ADS-B service in Asia/Pacific Region SITA (together with UK NATS and QinetiQ) playing major role in consortium selected to conduct UK ADS-B/Multi-lateration trial

41 VDL Service Partnerships SITA has concluded VHF Data Link partnership agreements with: AENA (Spain) in December 2002 DFS (Germany) in December 2004 Agreements are similar in that our partners will/have assumed ownership and responsibility of control/monitoring of the VHF data link stations through which they will deliver the Link2000+ Services

42 Partnership VDL Deployment Status Spain (AENA): Deployment project completed 21 VGS (ACARS/VDL) stations deployed and now operational Germany (DFS) 19 installed VGS transferred to DFS ownership in during 1 st 6 months of 2005 Further 8 or 9 VGS to be installed in 2007 to supplement VDL coverage in Germany Negotiations with other Link ANSPs on-going
