A member of staff will be available each evening for all information relating to the next day, meal times, excursion times, meeting points etc. What meals are provided? For all holidays, the first meal on arrival will be the evening meal. For guests on a seven night holiday, their last meal before departure will be breakfast. For guests on two and four night breaks the last meal will be lunch. Please ensure that you have advised us of any dietary requirements before the start of your holiday. Breakfast will include a choice of hot options, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and toast. Lunch will usually be on-site and will be a salad bar/ buffet, plus a hot and vegetarian option. Families embarking on a full programme of activities or an off site excursion will be provided with an individual packed lunch. Lunch is not provided on free days. Dinner will consist of soup, main course and dessert at all centres. The main course will typically have two hot options (vegetarian option included) and a salad bar. Drinks are available at all meal times and will include squash, water, tea and coffee. What s the accommodation like and do I need to bring bedding? Accommodation is clean, functional, mostly bunk bedded rooms rather than luxurious. Bedding is provided, both indoor and tented. You will need to bring your own towels. Is Wifi available? Wifi is available at all our UK centres to guests over 18. In some centres it may be limited to certain areas which you will be advised of on arrival. You will need to sign a user agreement before you are issued with our secure password. Do your centres have on-site bars? With the exception of Dalguise and Bawdsey Manor, all of our centres have an on-site bar for the use of family guests. (Please note: children will be asked to vacate the bar at 10pm). For Dalguise and Bawdsey Manor, refreshments are provided for you to enjoy in lounge areas, but centre staff will be able to advise you of nearby pubs and restaurants. Do your centres have on-site shops? All of our centres have on-site shops (opening times will be advised once you arrive at your centre). They sell a selection of drinks, confectionary, snacks, gifts and toiletries. Are there any laundry/drying room facilities? We advise you to bring enough clothing for the duration of your stay. Most centres have outdoor areas/washing lines to dry clothes, in dry weather. Washing machines, should you need them in an emergency, are available at some of our centres. Can I cancel or alter my holiday? If you wish to cancel your holiday you must let us know by (families@pgl.co.uk). Cancellations received more than eight weeks prior to departure will forfeit deposits. Within eight weeks further cancellation charges apply, please check our full booking terms and conditions for details. 7 Insurance Cover We recommend that all customers have insurance, particularly if you are travelling outside the UK. If you have purchased PGL insurance, please ensure you have read the insurance policy in your MyPGL account and that you declare any pre-existing conditions to our insurance provider (if applicable). Failure to do so could affect your cover and void the policy. If you wish to purchase PGL insurance, please call us to add it to your booking or get a quote. If you have an existing family policy, please ensure that it covers all the activities that will be provided at your PGL centre as often these require further cover, particularly mountain biking and abseiling. If you do not take PGL insurance, you will be asked to complete an insurance indemnity form and return it to us prior to travel. Do you have a code of conduct? During your holiday we ask parents to oversee the discipline and supervision of their children at all times. However, where applicable this responsibility is delegated to PGL centre staff for activity instruction and during evening entertainment. We would appreciate it if you would ensure that your family is aware of the following centre rules, which exist to ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable holiday. We ask family members to show consideration for other families, PGL staff, coach drivers and neighbouring local residents Smoking is strictly forbidden in accommodation units, designated smoking areas will be pointed out on arrival We would ask parents not to allow under age consumption of alcohol at PGL centres. In the UK we will not serve alcohol to under 18s In the interest of safety, children should not leave the centre unless accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or member of PGL staff) PGL Camp Kit We have been operating children s activity holidays for over 60 years and we have found that the items in our Camp Kit are some of the most useful and practical kit for PGL holidays. We are pleased to advise that you can pre-order our Camp Kit when you make your booking and it will be ready for collection on arrival. Our centre staff will ensure your child receives the correct size t-shirt and baseball cap.
