Back DK per month over 10 months 1882 Pair of 1d Bluish Lilac stamps plus a ½d Pale Green, both cancelled by a 9th May London CDS and 106 Duplex postmark. Addressed to Bordeaux with an arrival datestamp on the 10th May. Letter on the inside of the wrapper confirms the amount specified has been paid into the recipients account. DK per month over 4 months 1865 Envelope posted on the second day of the new 10d rate to India, with a 4d Vermilion plate 4 and a 6d Lilac plate 3 stamps cancelled by a Glasgow 159 Duplex dated 2nd January. Travelled via Marseilles and Bombay, scarce cover. DK per month over 5 months ½d Postal Stationary sent from London on 3rd March to Saigon, Cochinchina with a double circle arrival datestamp at Saigon Central Cochinchina on 30th March, rare early destination. 35 per month over 10 months PH0005(1) 350 Penny Black, plate 6 with initials TD and April 1841 Birmingham datestamp on reverse, plus original letter inside. Sent to Kirriemuir (Kirrie) and has an arrival Scottish boxed dated 3rd June. Original wax seal intact on reverse, an unusual late usage for a Mulready, interesting item. DK per month over 2 months 1872 Pair of ½d Rose Red (better known as the Bantam - the smallest GB stamp), both plate 1 with initials TI and TJ, cancelled by a Belfast 62 Duplex dated 19th June and addressed to Cushendall. DK per month over 5 months 1854 Pair of 2d Blue (1841 variety), both plate 4 with initials IG and IH cancelled by 186 Dublin Duplex with a 7th May Lurgan arrival datestamp on the reverse, plus original letter on inside of the wrapper remains. 25 per month over 11 months DK Wrapper with a 1d Red, plate 63 and initials RJ, tied by a Naas Irish 346 Numeral in blue dated 8th July, addressed to Dublin. 45 per month DK over 10 months 1841 Sunday School Society for Ireland wrapper sent from Dublin to Florence Court, Enniskillen (18th century house in Northern Ireland now owned by National Trust). With a 1d Red Black plate 2 and initials AF, cancelled by a Maltese Cross, arrival datestamp on reverse and the item was then sent back to Dublin on 28th October. buckinghamcovers.com 3

4 Back DK per month over 2 months 1850 Pair of 2d Blue (1841 variety), plate 4 with initials IC and ID, postmarked with a Penrith 606 Numeral, addressed to Kendal on 24th October where it arrived on the same day. DK per month over 7 months 1842 Wrapper with a 1d red, plate 21 and initials DL, postmarked by a Dorchester circular datestamp on 24th April, SG catalogue value at DK per month over 10 months d Lilac, plate 4 and initials MH, addressed to the Hague, cancelled with a Attleborough 34 Numeral dated 3rd January. Attractive cover with interesting Holland destination. 11 per month over 10 months DK th January sent to Daventry with two strikes of the 78 Peter/Borough mark in black, plus Bishop Mark and a nice wax seal on the reverse as well as the original letter on inside of the wrapper. Back DK wrapper dated 3rd May with a red oval Paid at/a/stratford strike on front, and red Stratford on Avon and Aulcester strikes on the reverse, as well as remains of the wax seal. 5 Back DK School of Musketry with a pair of ½d Blues cancelled by a London hooded postmark address to the School of Musketry in Hythe, Kent. A faint arrival from Hythe on the reverse. DK per month over 7 months 1861 Very unusual envelope with 11 Princes Risborough circular strikes all dates 13th November, 4 on the front and 7 on the reverse. The reverse also features a Tring CDS on the same date as well as a red London transit strike dated 12th. RU Envelope with King Edward VII 5d Dull Purple & Ultramarine and 2d Green & Red each cancelled by a registered Deal postmark plus a registered cachet. Deal CDS and London hooded cancels on reverse plus remnants of wax seal, attractive cover addressed to Rome. PH1004C John Oakey & Sons Ltd Wellington Knife Polish advertising postal stationary uprated with King George V stamp, addressed to Leipzig. RU per month over 3 months 1885 Mourning envelope with two 6d Dull Green values each cancelled with a 2nd July 1885 Tunbridge Wells High Street 820 Duplex postmark. Addressed to Pahi, Auckland, New Zealand via Plymouth and has both an Auckland and Pahi arrival datestamp on the reverse dated the 19th and 21st August respectively, a scarce early destination. Back 55 per month over 2 months DK Singer Sewing Machines advertising envelope with an attractive colour illustration with a King George VI 1½d cancelled by an Edinburgh Slogan Post Early in the Day on 3rd July 1939, unusual design and in good condition. PH Peerless Erasmic Soap advertising envelope, addressed to Berlin with three King George V stamps and Erasmic Co Ltd cachet on envelope flap. PH1004A Cook, Sons & Co advertising postal stationary with illustration of Spinning Mills and Power Kidder Factory at Liverside, Yorkshire, addressed to Stockholm. DK per month over 6 months 1877 Whitaker s Almanack Mulready envelope with a penny red of plate 187 and initials AB, cancelled by a double strike of a London EC CDS and 99 Duplex postmark. This advertising envelope used by Whitakers, the famous reference book, who still publish annually here in the UK. Addressed to the Strand in London, still a major philatelic area today. Included is the original letter from the Horse Guards Commander in Chief John Browne, addressed to Maidstone. Great item and in very good condition for its age. Written by Polish POW Wladmir Kudasiewicz, Prisoner Num.7430, block 18/I, addressed to his family in Upper Silesia, no letter. PH per month over 2 months 1902 Envelope sent from the Boer War with 24th March British Field PO CDS with on active service written. Included is original two page letter front and back, by Jack to his parents which references the war and Baden-Powell, interesting historical item. 70 per month over 5 months PH Penny Black plate 4 with initials L H and Lowestoft datestamp 2nd January 1841, plus original letter inside DK per month over 10 months 1854 Pair of embossed 6d Mauve stamps cancelled by an Aberdeen Scottish Numeral 1. Addressed to Montego Bay in Jamaica with a October 14th Aberdeen cancel and a Kingston, Jamaica arrival datestamp from November on the reverse.
