3 MOTIONS: Motion in the name of Councillor Henry Upton To ask the Area Manager to arrange to have the pathway from the Darndale roundabout to UCI cleaned and sprayed and to have the over shrubbery at this location cut back or removed Motion in the name of Councillor Seán Kenny To ask the Area Manager to provide a direction sign to Redmonds Court from Kilbarrack Road Motion in the name of Councillor Dessie Ellis That the manager looks at the cleansing in general of the area around Larkhill Road, Glenaan and Glendun as there's been a number of complaints from the residents that it's deteriorated over recent months Motion in the name of Councillor Seán Kenny That a report be provided to the committee outlining the response to recent vandalism, including the setting of fire of bins, at Fr. Collins Park. Can the also report include the effectiveness of the CCTV cameras in the identification of culprits and assisting the Gardai in a follow up Motion in the name of Councillor Larry O Toole Are funds available to provide CCTV cameras at the Glin Court senior citizen s complex. If fund is available can an indication be given as to when the cameras will be installed? Motion in the name of Councillor Larry O Toole Can the residents of areas where there are difficulties (because of car parking) for bin collection lorries to gain access, resulting in non-collection of bins, be informed by leaflet of these difficulties? Motion in the name of Councillor Larry O Toole That this committee ask the manager for a commitment that the Housing Adaptation Grant Scheme for People with a Disability will recommence this year Motion in the name of Councillor Pat Crimmins Can the Manager ask the SPC Department to investigate why the residents of Millbrook Avenue and surrounding areas are unable to access the Tonlegee Road between 7am -10 am?

4 3922. Motion in the name of Councillor Pat Crimmins Can the Manager ask the Parks Department to investigate the possibility of trimming offending evergreen trees at the rear of Woodbine Park? People are now very conscience of getting the maximum amount of light into their residence Motion in the name of Councillor Pat Crimmins Can the Manager ask the Parks Department to investigate the possibility of placing containerised trees for Barrock Place, Kilbarrack as the area requires some shrubbery to take away the dower look of the area? Motion in the name of Councillor Pat Crimmins Can the Manager request that the Heritage Department make some improvements to the Railway House at Howth Junction as it is gone very dilapidated and neglected? Motion in the name of Councillor Pat Crimmins Can the Manager ask the Traffic Department to have a look at the parking in Tara Lawns as the bin trucks cannot access this area due to irregular parking? Motion in the name of Councillor John Redmond That the Area Manager provides a list detailing the works the following departments will carry out in the Donaghmede Estate over the next 6 months: Parks Department, Waste Management Department, Traffic Department, Drainage Department, and Roads Maintenance Department Motion in the name of Councillor Seán Kenny That the Area Manager request that the parking enforcement contractor give the Donaghmede Estate additional daily patrols due to the increase the number of vehicles parking on double yellow lines Motion in the name of Councillor Naoise O Muirí That the Manager clarify if (a) the following lanes are in charge and (b) if so organise to get them cleaned up and put on a regular sweeping schedule. a. Lane running at the rear of houses on Kincora Road and exiting on to Conquer Hill Road b. Lane running at the rear of houses on Vernon Grove and exiting on to Brian Boru Road Motion in the name of Councillor Naoise O Muirí That the Manager give me an update on resolution safety issues with the pedestrian footbridge in Fairview as highlighted previously?

Motion in the name of Councillor Naoise O Muirí That Dublin Bus representatives and DCC traffic engineers be invited to the next Area Committee to discuss the recent alterations to the 123 Bus Route Motion in the name of Councillor Naoise O Muirí That the Manager examine the possibility of introducing a limited permit parking scheme for businesses that have lost parking amenity as a result of implementing metered parking on the seafront car park across from St Anthony s Church, Clontarf Motion in the name of Councillor Naoise O Muirí That a completed pedestrian crossing phase be designed and implemented for the Richmond Rd/Fairview Strand/Ballybough junction Motion in the name of Councillor John Lyons That the Manager arrange to have the graffiti cleared from the wall around Ellenfield Park and on the bridge supports for the Shantalla Road flyover Motion in the name of Councillor Deirdre Heney That the manager refer to total water cut off and also reduced pressure from houses at 52 Kincora Grove, Clontarf, Dublin 3. (house numbers 50 and 54 were also without water) for 3 days during the week from 17 Feb to 23 rd Feb approx and say (1) why water was cut off and or pressure reduced (2) if Dublin City Council s Engineering Dept. were carrying out works in the area and if so, what works (3) if the Council was carrying out work, why were residents not informed that they would be without water (4) why water pressure in recent years has been so poor at this location and if there are any plans in place to improve pressure in the near future as resident complains that several houses were without water for 3 days without any communication from the City Council and that generally pressure has been very poor over recent years Motion in the name of Councillor Deirdre Heney That the Manager to refer to laneway connecting Ennafort Park with Howth Road laneway is situated approximately between house numbers 446 & 448 Howth Road, Raheny, D5 as per details attached which is (a) covered with graffiti and (b) in a very dirty condition and say (1) if she can arrange to have the graffiti cleaned as it is causing offence to pedestrians using the laneway (2) if Dublin City Council is taking part in the recently announced Dept. of Justice Scheme whereby young offenders will clean up the public domain, (e.g. graffiti removal) as part of their Community Service

6 (3) if she can arrange to have a thorough clean up done of the dirt/refuse in the laneway and thereafter have the laneway put on a weekly/fortnightly cleansing schedule Motion in the name of Councillor Deirdre Heney That the Manger to refer to my previous requests to have the windows in the 3 storey senior citizen block at Domville Court, Santry, Dublin 9 cleaned as residents were promised that windows would be cleaned twice yearly when they took up residence and if she will make a statement on the matter and say if she can now arrange for this work to be carried out Motion in the name of Councillor Deirdre Heney To ask the manager to say if she can arrange to provide a full yellow box i.e. extend the half yellow box already at junction of Elm Road & Malahide Road, (box only goes half way) to allow residents take a right turn from the main road into their estate as they are currently unable to safely turn right at main junction at Malahide Road and Collins Avenue despite residents umpteen previous requests for a filter light at main junction (Malahide Road and Collins Avenue) due to numerous requests from local residents. While I accept that City Council is trying to eliminate right turns such as this across main roads, the problem for residents is a serious one in that they cannot safely gain access to their estate any other way and the City Council refuses to install a right turning filter light at the junction of Malahide Road and Collins Avenue Motion in the name of Councillor Deirdre Heney That the Manager refer to previous requests to have the area of footpath along James Larkin Road, Raheny, in the area close to the sloped grassy bank near the Garden Centre at Blackbanks close to the flower beds laid by Dublin City Council cleared of mud/muck which drains down onto the footpath from the grassy bank adjacent to same, making the footpath treacherous for pedestrians who currently have to walk out onto the roadway to avoid the muck which lodges on the footpath at this location; the was previously cleared of muck and dirt but the area has yet again become covered with muck and dirt Motion in the name of Councillor Seán Kenny That the Manager report on difficulties experienced by householder at 51 St. Berach's Place, Dublin 5, in relation to bin collections Motion in the name of Councillor Seán Kenny That the Manager arrant the repair of the gully on Newbrook Road, D 13, before the pedestrian crossing (car-park side) as when their is a heavy spell of rain the gully cannot accept the amount of water and therefore the water currently pools around the gully.
