4 North Central Area Community Tea Dance Don t miss out on the North Central Area Community Tea Dance! Commemorating the Easter 1916 rising, this dance will take place in Parnell s G.A.A. Club on 24th March, Tickets will be available from 1st March but must be both paid for and collected by 18th March. Music on the night will be courtesy of the fabulous Moynihan brothers. 5 Let s Walk & Talk The Walk & Talk 1916 Easter Rising Special is out now. For further details, click here. Darndale road works in Buttercup & Snowdrop area Dublin City Council is building 35 new houses in Buttercup, as well as improving access & parking arrangements for about 30 existing houses. We need to dig up some of the roads in Buttercup & Snowdrop to lay new drains and other services such as electricity & water. Where the road has to be dug up, traffic will be reduced to one lane for a time. The builder & the City Council will make sure this is done safely & with the least possible disruption to residents. Invasive Alien Species Draft Action Plan Dublin City Council is the first Local Authority in Ireland to produce an Invasive Alien Species Draft Action Plan no really I jest not! For those of you who are automatically thinking have we been invaded by the little men from mars, let me assure they are the least of our worries! Our environment is at risk. The impacts of Invasive Alien Species are wide ranging & destructive from economic, social, health & ecological viewpoints, & it is estimated that they currently cost the Irish economy over 2M each year. Register now your Vote is your Voice The Register of Electors was published on the 1st February 2016 & is on display at your City Council s offices, Garda Stations, Libraries, Post Offices & online at If you are aged 18 or over, check that your name, address & details are correct on the Register. At present if your details do not appear on the register & you are not included at another address you may apply for inclusion in the Supplement to the Register of Electors 2016/2017 by completing an application form (RFA2 inclusion in supplement). If you are on the register but have moved address you must complete an application form (RFA3 change of address supplement form). If you have become an Irish Citizen & have never been on the Register of Electors you must fill in an RFA2 form if you wish to be included in the Supplement to the Register of Electors. However, if you are already on the Register of Electors & have become an Irish Citizen you must fill in an RFA5 change of citizenship supplement form which will enable you to vote at all elections & referendums.
