Narayana Seva was done during the Kiirtan. Also there was a naming ceremony on 3 rd February on this occasion for the daughter of a Margi of Chitmuh village as per Caryacarya. Visit of State Government Officials On 6 th Feb 2017 some Government officers from Kolkata visited Anandanagar. They visited our service projects at Madhya Anandanagar and Uma Nivas service projects. They were very much pleased seeing our services. 1

2 Repairing of Mohananandaji s residence Dada Mohananandaji s residence is being repaired. The roof casting is completed. Rambha Kanan at PASAKA Rambha Kanan (Banana garden) at PASAKA (Parivesh Sangbardhan Kanan Ecology Development Garden), Central Anandanagar is taken care of by our Central PCAP Secretary, Ac Citibodhanandaji. 2

3 Extension of PP Home The Extension of 1 st floor of PP Home is in progress. This project is sponsored by Argentina Margiis of Didi Manidiipa units. First phase of road construction started Anandanagar Municipality (Private) is established in the year 1988 and since then it was managed and run by Ananda Marga Administration without any Government aid. Now its Chairman is Ac. Muktanandaji and under whose arrangement and guidance 200 meters of road construction has been completed in the first phase. 3

4 Pruning of Bamboo garden Pruning of Benu Batika (Bamboo garden) work is in progress. Medical camp at Nowahatu Girijanananda Dihi Weekly Medical Camp was held at Nowahatu Girijananda Dihi on 7 Feb About 61 patients were treated and necessary medicines were given to them. Purchase of land at Bansgarh of Anandanagar On 9 th Feb 2017 Farm Department has purchased 30 acres of land at Bansgarh of Anandanagar Diocese. The concerned registration officers personally visited Anandanagar to do the necessary registration works. 4

5 Meeting of Panchayet Pramukhs of Anandanagar Diocese A meeting of Panchayet Pramukhs of Anandanagar Diocese was held at Chairman Office of Anandanagar on 10 th Feb Pracar works, service activities in villages and structure of building etc., were discussed. Cloth distribution at Jeladih village On 11 th Feb 2017 cloth distribution to 165 children of different ages was done in Jeladih village of Uttar Pratyanta of Anandanagar. 5

6 Niilkantha Divas observed On 12 th Feb 2017 Niilakanta Divas was observed at Madhu Murcchana, the Marga Guru Quarters. Three hour Akhanda Kiirtan vibrated many people. Children from hostels and homes also participated. Many Margiis from the surrounding villages attended. Ac Purnajinanananda Avadhuta explained the importance of Niilakanta Divas. It is well known fact that our Reverend Guru, Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji was arrested on a false charge by the Indira Gandhi led Government in the year in He was imprisoned in Patna jail and on this day of 1972, He was given poison in the name of medicine by the jail Doctor in Patna jail. It caused damage to His entire body. And His body became bluish and He suffered heavily, though ultimately He digested the poison. Then He appealed to all concerned (the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Central Home Minister, Governor of Bihar State and others) for inquiring into the matter but Government did not respond to His appeal. So He started fasting inside the jail as a protest and continued fasting for more than 5 years 4 months and 2 days till He was released from jail in To show respect to the fighting spirit against the evil force, Niilkantha (Blue-throated due to swallowing poison) Divas is being observed by all the Margiis and Marga units doing combined Sadhana, kiirtan etc. There was a naming ceremony as per Ananda Marga Caryacarya for the daughter of Chitmu Margi. Finally there was collective meal. 6

7 Shraddha Ceremony at Barudih Village On 17th Feb 2017 a Shraddha Ceremony of mother of Pathak Mahato was held at Barudih village of Anandanagar Diocese as per Caryacarya. Visit of State Govt. Officers On 18th Feb 2017, some high level officers visited Anandanagar. They have visited our service projects of Central Anandanagar and Asthi Hill (Fossil Hill) 7

8 First diocese seminar held The first diocese seminar was held on 17 to 19 Feb 2017 at Powerhouse, Anandanagar. Ac Mohananandaji was the trainers. About 150 margiis attended. Medical camp at Dimdiha village On 17th Feb 2017, a Medical Camp was held at Dimdiha village in our Jagrti. 25 patients were benefited. Margi Visit Margiis from Patna and Mumbai visited various places of service projects like Archological places of Ananda Nagar on 21 st and 22 nd Feb

9 Distribution of books, exercise copies, shoes and school uniforms On 22 nd Feb 2017, books, exercise copies, shoes, school uniform were distributed to the selected 81 poor boy-students (from class-v to X) from different villages of Ananda Nagar Diocese, studying in our Schools. Ac Mohananandaji, Ac Rtabuddhyanandaji and Shri Manoj Bharati, a Margi from Patna were present and distributed to the students. Repairing of a well at Abhedananda dihi A well is being repaired and re-constructed at Abhedananda Dihi. A Margii of Duesland of German helped through Dada Bhaskaranandajii do this work. 9

10 Food For All and Medical Camp by VSS Volunteers social Service (VSS) unit of Anandanagar has organized two Food For All and Medical Camps one at Purandih village on 15 th February and other at Siddi-Kashipur village on 26 th February. In both the places 3 hours Akhand Kiirtan, Medical camp and feeding of people were also done. At Purndih village At Siddi-Kashipur village 10
