Seminar at New Delhi on HEPC organised a workshop on Colour Trends Focus: Heimtextil 2015 & Challenges for Indian Handloom Sector during Downturn; Roadmap to Sustainable Growth at New Delhi on Professor Ms. Kripal Mathur & Ms. Savita Rana, NIFT, New Delhi made a powerpoint presentation on Heimtextil 2015 Colour Trends Focus. Professor Pinaki Dasgpura, IIFT, New Delhi made a powerpoint presentation on Challenges for Indian Handloom Sector during downturn Roadmap to Sustainable Growth. The seminar was attended by Chairman, Vice Chairman, EC members, member exporters & Heimtextil 2015 participants. All the participants expressed their satisfaction about the workshop & thanked HEPC for providing vital inputs timely for successful participation in fairs during Shri Gagan Rai, Chairman, HEPC delivered vote of thanks.

Seminar at Karur on HEPC organized seminar on Heimtextil 2015 trends & Visual Merchandising at The residency, Karur on The venue was fully packed with an attendance of nearly 150 Textile manufacturers and Exporters from the region. The participants included 19 Heimtextil exhibitors of this region through HEPC and other direct Heimtextil exhibitors. Mr.M.Nachimthu, President The Karur Textile manufacturer and Exporters Association delivered welcome address and Mr. R.Rajendiran, Vice Chairman, HEPC delivered Key note address. Dr.M.Vasantha, Assoc. Professor, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Chennai made a presentation interpreting Heimtextil 2015 Color trends and provided inputs for its adoption in products. Mr. Devan Das, Asst. Professor, NIFT, Chennai made a presentation on Visual Merchandising highlighting the importance of improving product display in the booths at the exhibition. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. P. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Committee Member, HEPC.

Seminar at Kannur on HEPC organised seminar on Colour Trends Focus: Heimtextil 2015 and "Challenges of Indian Handloom Sector- Roadmap to Growth on September 20, 2014 at North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Kannur. Participants at the seminar included Dignitaries, Exporters, Weavers Associations and Government officials. Mr.Jayachandran, Mascot Industries and Vice President, North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Mr.G.Ramesh Babu, Joint Director, NIFT, Kannur, Mr.Arun Barapatre, Manager Commercial, NHDC, Kannur and Mr.Kommu Ravindra, Deputy Director (Weaving), Weaver s Service Centre, Kannur participated in the programme. The technical session commenced with first presentation on Colour Trends Focus: Heimtextil 2015 by Mr.Srikanth Gella, Associate Professor, Dept. of Textile Design, NIFT Kannur. The second presentation was on "Challenges of Indian Handloom Sector- Roadmap to Growth by Mr.Jayarajan, Assistant Director, Textiles Committee, Kannur.

Seminar on Indian Handloom - Roadmap to a Sustainable Growth Model and Visual Merchandising on December 05, HEPC organized workshop on Indian Handloom - Roadmap to a Sustainable Growth Model and Visual Merchandising on December 05, 2014 at am at FIEO, Auditorium, Niryat Bhawan, Rao Tularam Marg, Opp.Army Hospital, Research & Referral, New Delhi 57. Smt.Sunaina Tomar IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest. Professor Pinaki Dasgupta from IIFT, Delhi, made a presentation on Indian Handloom - Roadmap to a Sustainable Growth Model and Ms.Ananaya Mitra Pramanik, Asst.Professor, NIFT, New Delhi, made a presentation on Visual Merchandising. 5. Road show on IIHF 2015 at Panipat on In connection with the India International Handwoven Fair to be held during March 11-13, 2015 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, a Road Show was organized in Panipat on for mobilizing participants. Nearly 75 member exporters participated in the road show. Officials from Textile Committee, WSC and NHDC also participated in this event. Professor Ms. Ananaya Mitra Pramanik, Asst. Professor NIFT, Delhi made a presentation on Visual Merchandising, and Professor Shri Vinayak Bhavsar, Indian Institute of Packing, Mumbai made a powerpoint presentation on current packaging. In his presentation he has briefed about IIP activities & centers. He has explained the role of IIP in conducting Training & educational program, research & development work for packaging. 6. Seminar at Karur on Council organised an Interactive Meeting on Customs and Road Show on IIHF 2015 at Legend Hall, THE RESIDENCY, 179, Allwin Nagar, Coimbatore Road, Karur on Shri.P.V.Subba Rao IRS, Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin in his key note address informed the gathering about various facilitating measures and regulatory role played by Customs in promoting trade from the region. The Commissioner also stressed importance of brand building and product adaptation for handloom products to cater to niche market segment.

5 Executive Director, HEPC in his address highlighted objectives of India International Handwoven Fair and its progress right from inception. He appealed to the exporters to actively participate in the fair which in turn will attract more foreign visitors in terms of numbers and quality. 7.
