10 The LANBO RELOC History This network was created on August 5, 1998 in the city of Bogota (Colombia) In July 2007 during the general assembly of the International Network of Basin Organizations RIOC INBO, in Debrecen (Hungary), the National Water Agency (ANA) form Brazil to promote the restructuring of the RELOC LANBO In November 2008 was held general assembly of the RELOC LANBO, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) 160 delegates, representing 67 institutions and 21 countries New board members (Colombia, Brasil, In November 2011 was held the Second General Assembly and was chosen LANBO Board integrated by the President of Panama (ANAM), Vice CAR (Colombia), the Permanent Technical Secretariat REBOB (Brazil) and vocal members of Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador and Paraguay

12 The LANBO RELOC Objectives Objectives Promote a frank, open and friendship dialogue among its members to exchange experiences : > Encourage training and human resources development with emphasis on the development of national networks and the creation of basin organizations. > Actions to promote water management by river basins > Support training and education activities aimed at the general population, in terms of water management > Support the necessary actions for the proper, efficient and sustainable river basin management, whether surface or underground, national or transboundary > Promote interaction programs with the International Network of Basin Organizations RIOC INBO > Evaluate the actions undertaken and disseminate he results of its activities with the governments of different nations participating
