3 August 13, 2018 ADDENDUM #1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING SERVICES RFP #18.1 As described in Section 1.04 of the Request for Proposals, Proposers could request an explanation, clarification, or interpretation from the City before 12:00 PM, on August 8, This addendum is issued in response to questions received by the City before 12:00 PM on August 8, ITEM 1 NUMBER OF SLUDGE HAULS AND WEIGHT Solid Waste Vendor 3rd Party Grand Total Month # of Hauls Tons # of Hauls # of Hauls April May June July August September October November December January February March Totals Monthly Average Sludge hauls from the City s waste water treatment facility have historically been provided by the City s solid waste vendor. The City has been in the process of renovating the treatment facility and the need for hauls has been erratic during construction. Some hauls made in conjunction with the construction project and were made by a third-party vendor. The City does not have the tonnage associated with these hauls. This construction project is nearing completion. The City expects the need for sludge hauls to return to the level experienced between April 2017 and June 2017 when construction is complete. Under the scope of the new contract for the period from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2023, the City will hold two events each year. The successful Proposer will provide, at no cost to the City, up to twenty (20) Roll-Offs each calendar year in conjunction with these events.
