1 RESOLUTION GRANTING A TWO YEAR EXTENSION TO SURE SANITATION SERVICE FOR RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION IN ORANGE counn WHEREAS, SURE SANITATION SERVICE is currently a licensed franchisee b~ ORANGE COUNTY authorized to collect and transport garbage generated by residences in certain areas of Orange County; and WHEREAS, said franchise is currently due to expire on December 31, 1989; and WHEREAS, SURE SANITATION SERVICE has made application to extend its franchise for a two year period in accordance with Section 15-47(g) of the Orange County Code; and WHEREAS, ORANGE COUNTY has determined that based upon its performance during the previous two years of its franchise that SURE SANITATION SERVICE is qualified to fulfill a two year extension to the franchise. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSION: Section 1. That SURE SANITATION SERVICE is hereby granted a two year extension to its current franchise to collect residential waste in the area of Orange County described in the legal description attached hereto as Exhibit "A" to this Resolution. Said extension shall be for the period of January 1, 1990 through December 31, The franchisee shall elect by October 1, 1989 to either apply for a two year extension for calendar years 1992 and 1993 or indicate by certified mail that it shall not continue servicing its residential area after December 31, Section2. This franchise shall be governed by all applicable provisions of the Orange County Code either currently in effect or as are amended from time to time by the Orange County Commission. This Resolution shall formalize the County Commission action of November 30, 1987 and shall serve to correct and clarify previous legal descriptions for the franchise areas which had boundaries.
