3 1 Tent Exhibits Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Experience renewable energy In this corner visitors can see, learn and experience how the power of nature's bounty the sun, wind, earth, water, living creatures can be used as renewable energy to produce the heat and electric power indispensable in our daily lives. Visitors can rotate a model windmill using large uchiwa (Japanese fans), make original pinwheels, and have fun while experiencing natural energy. Ministry of the Environment Introduction of Cool Choice and Akari Mirai Keikaku. Cool Choice, a Japanese public measure against global warming, and the Bright Future Plan (Akari Mirai Keikaku), a campaign to spread the adoption of high-effi ciency lighting, are introduced. In this booth, visitors can learn about making "wise choices" which help reduce emission of greenhouse gases. There are also exhibits offering the latest information and images on global warming, and a workshop on use of LED lights for children. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Introduction of the role played by LED lighting in achieving energy savings in the port and road areas and infrastructure. Roads and ports support Japan's industrial activities and our daily lives. Did you know that advances in reduction of energy consumption are also being made in this area? This booth introduces the use of LED lighting and renewable energy on our roads and in our ports, and the role played by infrastructure. Visitors can get a sense of actual street lighting. There is also a model of Tokyo Gate Bridge, which spans Tokyo Bay and is usually lit up.
