1 FEBRUARY EVENT GUIDE Nanrakuen Plum Festival The trees in the plum garden (~160) will be starting to bloom, and you can enjoy flower viewing throughout January. Organisms that Live Close By We will be introducing animals and bugs that live in the mountain area near the museum. There will be photos, as well as actual specimens, of the organisms. *Date: 2/24 (Sat) ~ 4/8 (Sun) *Fee: General admission ticket required Planned Exhibit Bone Bone Museum There will be various displays of animal skeletons, and explanations of the structure and movement of the skeletons will be provided. Skeletons are not things you typically see on a regular basis, so take this opportunity to learn more about them. *Date: 2/24 (Sat) ~ 4/8 (Sun) *Fee: General admission ticket required Lecture: Evolution of Bones over 500 Million Years The core of the human body bones. As well as being beautiful, bones are a valuable asset that supports life in many animals. Let us take a look at how bones have evolved across 500 million years. The start will be from our own bodies. Professor Hideki Endo from Tokyo University s University Museum will be holding the lecture.
