The romantic castle complex directly on Lake Thun provides a stylish setting with a historic ambience for weddings, civil ceremonies and other events. The former dining room of the aristocratic family and the elegant summer hall with castle terrace offer a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains and are ideal for weddings, corporate events, birthdays and aperitifs with friends or colleagues. The chapel with late-medieval wall paintings is available for baptisms and smaller wedding parties. For seminars and receptions there is the Harrach room (Salle Harrach) in the outhouse. The lake turrets set in the water may be rented for a couple of enchanted hours. In order to make your event an unparalleled experience we have put together some offers on the following pages. 2 Our rental rates for the castle complex For weddings and family celebrations, corporate events, baptisms, seminars Please note the following: Castle Oberhofen restaurant is responsible for catering Included in our rental rates: ü Allowance for photo shoot in the park ü Museum entrance during opening hours (doesn't include the Harrach room and the park) ü Tables, chairs, standing tables, buffet tables, sunshades (in the park, buffet tables only) Not included: tablecloths and chair covers (can be ordered separately from the caterer) End of event: at the latest, midnight Availability: room is ready 1 ½ hours before the event. 6 Guidelines for events in Oberhofen Castle and park Please note the following points to ensure your event is successful and runs smoothly: Events in the castle and the park area are necessarily subject to charges and must be registered in advance with the castle management. Dogs are not permitted in the castle area (except for guide dogs). Dancing in the castle rooms is unfortunately impossible for reasons of conservation. It is not permitted to throw rice, rose petals or confetti. Musical events must be discussed in advance with the castle management. Photo shoots are permitted in the event room, but are not possible in the museum area. There is a strict ban on smoking in all castle rooms. Smoking is permitted in the open air. As you are in a historically important facility, fireworks are forbidden. The contracted event times should be observed. If you are considering the use of a marquee, please consult the castle management for a permit. Balloons should not be released within the castle area. Motorized vehicles are not allowed in any part of the castle or its park. We kindly ask you to keep the park tidy and dispose of waste in the designated bins.
