1 How many hidden dining rooms does The Main have? You might be surprised. The Virginian-Pilot Mar 25, 2017 Cost: About $150 million. NORFOLK Today, The Main stops being a political debate, a construction site or a symbol of downtown Norfolk s renaissance. It will now be a working hotel and conference center. And city officials, along with the developer, hope it will draw thousands of new people to town. With The Main s first guests about to check in for a weekend arts celebration, here s a look at the numbers behind the long-awaited project.

While The Main has been described as a 22-story tower, the 22nd level is entirely for mechanical equipment and there is no 13th floor.
