Suggestions of things to take for the journey Take a rucksack/small bag with you on the coach to carry the things you need to take for the journey. The bag will also be useful for day trips in Barcelona. Clothing Wear something that will be comfortable. It is quite a long journey and you might want go to sleep. Jogging bottoms, sweatshirts and comfy jeans are ideal. A small pillow or cushtie can be a good idea. On the last trip the sun was quite bright and pupils found it beneficial to wear sunglasses. Food There is almost a day of travel, so make sure your child has a packed lunch. Avoid sticky and messy food in particular keep away from fizzy drinks and things that go off quickly. Entertainment Bring something to read and perhaps a pack of cards or small game. Electrical equipment, IPods, mobile phones etc and cameras are fine but, please note, these are your responsibility. Medicines If you take medicines, inhalers (A duplicate for the first aider please) etc, make sure that you have enough for the whole stay and that you have sufficient with you on the coach. We are unable to give out paracetmol/ travel sickness tablets, so it would be a good idea to take some tablets should you perhaps suffer from a headache or sickness during any part of the trip. Due to some people s allergic reactions to plasters, it would be better to take your own. Sun cream and a hat are essential as the weather is likely to be very warm (hopefully!). NB. Should your child have to take medicines on a regular basis, please ensure you have informed the staff in writing, if you have not already done so.
Toiletries Take something to freshen up with during the journey, for example wet wipes. Generally for the whole journey. Several pairs of jeans, jogging bottoms, trousers etc. A couple of pairs of shoes / trainers. Underwear for the week!! Tops and jumpers Smarter clothes for the evening. Light coat/ jacket/ waterproof. Other essentials Sketch pad. Pencil, coloured pencils. Pen, rubber, glue stick. Camera. Adapter/plug. PASSPORT, MONEY AND THE 4 ENVELOPES.
We have agreed certain strategies for the supervision of money during the trip. Money should be divided by parents into FIVE amounts (4 envelopes) *Money for the outward journey (sterling/euros) to be carried by your son/daughter. *4 sealed envelopes clearly marked Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with your child s name and amount. (Remember the visit to FC Barcelona is on Tuesday so if any pupils wish to buy shirts more needs to be included in this envelope). These will be collected on the morning of departure and members of staff will then be responsible for issuing this at the appropriate times. Remember everything (all meals, apart from on the journey) is included other than your child s personal spending money!!

We do need to leave Brockington at 6.00am on Monday, 20 May 2013 so pupils will therefore need to be at school for 5.30am to ensure that we leave on time. We will return on the afternoon/early evening of Friday 24 May. We will let school know of return timings. For those pupils that would like a T-shirt printed with their name and Barcelona Art Trip 2013 on, these will be available at a cost of approximately 9. An example will be available at the meeting for you to see and if you are interested I will take numbers at this point on the attached slip. Payment must be made again via Parent Pay ( Please refer to the information pack sent to you recently. Anyone who is unable to access Parent Pay can pay via Paypoint please contact the school office if you require further details.
Deadline for returning sheets ASAP please, as I have to get details to Spanish Star. Please hand to Mrs London or Mrs Avery -Wilson EHIC cards- please could we have before May 1 st.
