5 Tour basics Getting there We will depart from Hastings by private Coach to Gatwick Airport North on Tuesday at 5:15 and will arrive in Barcelona at Please drop your child off at : The Hastings Academy on Tuesday 19 th September at 4.50am Returning home We will leave Barcelona on Friday the 22 nd Sep at 18:00 and arrive at Hastings Academy approximately at 21:30 Please collect your child at: The Hastings Academy on Friday 22 nd Sept at 21:30

ARRIVE: LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT (North Terminal) 07:10 HRS DEPART: LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT 09:10 HRS ARRIVE: BARCELONA AIRPORT (Terminal 2C) 12:15 HRS The transfer time from the airport to your hostel is approximately 30 minutes.

8 Your Accommoda%on: Remember to bring a towel with you. or You can rent one from recepdon for 4 euros. All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and there are free lockers in the rooms, I recommend that you bring your own padlocks but you can buy them at recepdon. Bring shower gel or buy it in Barcelona.

9 Tour basics Meal arrangements Day 1 We might have time to have breakfast at Gatwick. If not we can buy something to eat on the plane. When we arrive in Barcelona after check in in our hotel, we will go to Barrio Gotico where we will have churros con chocolate Evening meal in the hotel Day 2 Breakfast in Hotel Lunch around Parc Guell Evening meal in the hotel Day 3 Breakfast in hotel Lunch near Camp Nou Evening meal in the hotel Day 4 Breakfast at the hotel Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and lunch near Barrio Gotico Back to hotel at 14:30 and relax till airport transfer pick up at 15:30

10 Tour basics Travel tips money The currency in Barcelona is EUROS. 1 is approx Euros We recommend that students take money to buy food, snacks and any souvenirs. As a guide equivalent 80 in cash, kept in a secure wallet and keep it in the lockers overnight

11 Tour basics Average Barcelona - September Travel tips packing The weather in Barcelona at this time of year is changeable.we will be walking around too. As such, we recommend that students pack the following essential items for their tour: Day backpack /bag zip pocket (small) Sensible walking shoes A lightweight and waterproof coat Lightweight jumper Overnight toiletries Pyjamas Sunscreen (it can get up to 26C in Sep)

12 DAY 1: Tuesday 19 th September ARRIVE AT GENERATOR BARCELONA HOSTEL AT AROUND 3PM After check in, we will spend time exploring Barrio Gotico and we will try churros con chocolate Dinner in the hotel at 7:45pm

13 DAY 2 : WEDNESDAY 20 th SEPTEMBER 2017 Breakfast at the hotel served at 7:45 10:00 Sagrada Familia (TBC) La Sagrada Familia is the most popular attraction in Barcelona, attracting nearly 2.8 million visitors each year. Construction began in 1882 and continues to this day. The building is predicted to be completed within the next 30 years. Tapas Lunch or other options

14 DAY 2 : WEDNESDAY 20 th SEPTEMBER :00 Parc Güell Parc Güell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, recognising its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. Take the metro to Ciutadella Villa Olimpica for a walk along the beach. Dinner at the hostel at 7:45pm

15 DAY 3 : THURSDAY 21 st SEPTEMBER 2017 Breakfast at the hotel served between 7:30 10:00 Camp Nou- Self guided tour The tour will take you behind the scenes at FC Barcelona, the biggest football stadium in Europe: the press box with a panoramic view of the stadium, the locker room, enjoy the walk through the players tunnel to the side lines. You ll see FC Barcelona documentaries in the multi-media zone. The Museum presents the fascinating history of the club, and original major trophies can be seen. Followed by a visit to Las Arenas for lunch and shopping. Museu Nacional d Art de Catalunya. Montjuic Cable car. Dinner in the hotel at 8pm then packing

16 DAY 4: FRIDAY 22 ND SEPTEMBER 2017 Breakfast at 8am Check out of your rooms before 10:00am and store your luggage until your departure. Morning walk at Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and lunch (15:20 approx. Time TBC) Depart hotel by coach and transfer to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
