Transfer to Brisbane International Airport for your flight to Dubai. Day 2: Tuesday 28 May 2019 Arrive Dubai Upon arrival into Dubai this morning, make your way to your hotel. Today is free for you to explore at leisure. Overnight stay in a 4 star hotel in Dubai, including breakfast and transfers. Day 3: Wednesday 29 May 2019 Dubai Arrival Nice Aix-en-Provence (B) This morning fly from Dubai to Nice. You will be met at the airport in Nice and transferred to the quaint and remarkable Aix-en-Provence. The town is known as the birth place of Post-Impressionist artist Paul Cézanne. Included is a three-night stay. Cheese and olive tasting Day 4: Thursday 30 May 2019 Aix-en-Provence (FB) You day will commence with an included tour through the leafy boulevards and public squares lined with 17th and 18th century mansions of Aix-en-Provence. Day 8: Monday 3 June 2019 Avignon (FB,L,D) Avignon has a rich history from Celtic beginnings to being the residence of the Popes and later central to the French Revolution. Although a fortified town, it is the Papal Palace which stands more secure on a hill in the centre of town; its walls are feet thick. Your guided walk with a local guide takes you through this historic centre strolling the cobbled laneways and browsing the shops, overlooking the famous Pont d Avignon. Today take part on the guided tour of Lyon, which starts with a drive to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, Lyon s hilltop church, with stunning views over the town. Then pass by the recently re discovered Roman amphitheatre and walk through the cobbled streets of the gastronomic old town including the secret laneways. Travel by road to the quaint village of Beaune, where we visit the Hospices de Beaune, one of the finest examples of French fifteenth century architecture. Marvel at the multi coloured roofs of this former hospital, now a museum, which has become one of the symbols of Burgundy. Day 13: Saturday 8 June 2019 Lyon Disembarkation Geneva (FB) After breakfast disembark your river cruise ship in Lyon and transfer by coach to Geneva. This exuberant city is the headquarters of Europe s United Nations and a global hub for diplomacy and baking. Included is a two-night stay in Geneva. Enjoy your sightseeing tour of Geneva, with some of the main highlights of your trip are the Jet d Eau 140-meter high water jet, the quai du Mont-Blanc and rue de Rhone.
