You stay very stylish 6 times in 4 star hotels and Gites de Prestige in Avignon in the heart of the old town as well as in Arles in a 3 star hotel in a historic building. 2 1. day Villeneuve-les-Avignon Arrival Arrive early enough, because Avignon has much to offer. Admire and visit the Pope's Palace (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and stroll through the pretty old town streets, which are still surrounded by a massive medieval city wall. Your 4 **** star is located in the heart of the city or in Villeneuve-les-Avignon.

3 2. day Villeneuve-les-Avignon - Arles 55 km In the morning at appro. 09:30 am you will be greated by a staff member, handed over your rental bikes if booked and soon you start cycling. You ride along the Rhone and pass Little Crau to St. Rémy de Provence. Glanum is famous for its Greek and Roman monuments. Further on you cycle to the medieval village Les Baux until you reach your destination for tonight Arles, where the whole city has been classified as world patrimony, because of its numerous Roman and medieval monuments. Today you stay in very stylish 3-star hotel in a historic building. But luxury is not missing, even a swimming pool the hotel has to offer. 3. day Arles - Saintes Maries de la Mer 40 km A varied day awaits you. By bike you can quickly reach the flat, magical landscape of the Camargue. You cycle to the lake Vaccarès and through the bird sanctuary up to Saintes Maries de la Mer with its Romanesque fortified church. Let the day end cozy end at the comfortable 4-star hotel and enjoy a dip in the swimming pool of the hotel. 4. day Saintes Maries de la Mer - Saint Gilles 40 km Through ample rice fields you roll to St. Gilles. You should visit the abbey with it s famous romanic portal and the crypt. You will then cycle to the nearby 4-star Gite de Charme Hotel with swimming pool. 5. day Saint Gilles - Saint Hilaire 50km The fragrance of the herbs of Provence in the nose you cycle through the vineyards of the Côte du Rhône to the famous Pont du Gard. In large arches, the ancient Roman aqueduct (World Heritage site) spans the Gardon River and delivers superb photographs. Continue to Saint-Hilaire d'ozhilhan to your excellent 4 star Gîte de Charme hotel with swimming pool where you will stay for two nights. 6. day Round trip Uzès 40 km On the side streets, through orchards and lonely villages, you will be on a round trip to Uzès, one of the most beautiful towns in Provence. Visit the cathedral and stroll a little through the picturesque side streets. You should never forget the bathing-baths today, as the nearby banks of the Gardon on the way back offer opportunities for a cooling down. At the end of the stage you will again reach the Pont du Gard and your hotel in Saint-Hilaire. 7. day Saint Hilaire - Villeneuve-les-Avignon 35km In the end, you will be crowned with a ride through the flat vineyards, where the famous rose wine is produced. Stunning little villages like Castillon du Gard and the Rhône, the Rhone island and above all Avignon, where you will stay in the 4 star hotel. 8. day Avignon Departure Today, after breakfast, your beautiful journey ends in southern France. Conditions of cycle paths Nearly 100% of the routes are asphalted, partly they follow hiking trails. The stretches are flat, some slightly hilly. A longer climb to Lex Baux is a good 5km long, but can be avoided. A further climb in the Camargue leads over a nature trail and is well 10km long. Available rental bikes If you have booked bicycles, you will receive unisex bike (Giant) with a 21-speed gearbox without a back-pedal brake, 7/8-speed bicycles with a back-pedal brake or electric bicycles with freewheel.
