3 Getting to the Park Fort Edmonton Park is located at Street, Edmonton, AB. You can access the site by car, taxi, bus, bicycle, or on foot. Bus Routes: There are two buses that can take you from convenient locations around the city to the park gates. Route 595 Running from the South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park Transit Centre directly to Fort Edmonton Park every day, this bus route is available three times per hour from 9:30am to 6:10pm. Route 596 Leaving the South Campus/Fort Edmonton Transit Centre every hour, this route takes you to Fort Edmonton Park, John Janzen Nature Centre and the Valley Zoo everyday between 11am and 5pm. 3

4 From the Edmonton International Airport or Greyhound Bus Depot... it is easiest to arrive on site by car or taxi. From Edmonton International: 1. Head south on Airport Road, eventually merging onto Highway 2-North (AB-2 N) towards Edmonton. 2. Keep right at the fork and continue onto Gateway Boulevard NW. 3. Turn Left onto Whitemud Drive. 4. Take the Fox Drive exit. 5. Keep left, and turn left onto Fort Edmonton Park Road From the Red Arrow Bus Depot: 1. Head west on 100 Avenue, staying left. 2. Turn left onto 109 Street. 3. Follow 109 Street to 72 Avenue. 4. Turn right onto 72 Avenue. Cross 114 Street, and continue onto Belgravia Road. 5. Keep right and merge onto Fox Drive. 6. Turn right onto Fort Edmonton Park Road. From the Greyhound Bus Depot: 1. Heading south on 103 Street, turn right onto 103 Avenue. 2. Turn left onto 109 Street. 3. Follow 109 Street to 72 Avenue. 4. Turn right onto 72 Avenue. Cross 114 Street, and continue onto Belgravia Road. 5. Keep right and merge onto Fox Drive. 6. Turn right onto Fort Edmonton Park Road. 4

9 Walking and Cycling There are multiple walking and cycling routes that access Fort Edmonton Park. Please refer to Google Maps for the route that is the most convenient for you. 9

10 PARKING When Fort Edmonton Park is closed, guests are welcome to drive into the park and park their cars in the back roads nearest to the venues. When the park is open, guests are asked to park in the main parking lot and walk to the main gates. Please let Fort Edmonton Park staff know that you are part of the Book Publishers Association Conference and Gala. To access back-road parking during closing hours: Make your way to the Gate House by taking the first right, before the main parking lot at the second green sign onto the service road. Continue on the service road to the Park Gate. Upon arrival, let the Gate Host know you are there as part of the Book Publishers Association Conference and Gala. They will provide assistance and direct you to the proper parking lot. If there is no one at the gate, please dial the 3 digit number indicated on the sign for After Hours, where someone will open the gate and provide you with assistance. 15 Hotel Booking The Hotel Selkirk is a reconstruction of a 1920 s hotel that was originally located on Jasper Avenue. Hotel Selkirk is a fully functioning modern hotel offering old-fashioned hospitality. Please note that rooms at the Selkirk are limited. For this reason, we ask that priority be given to out-of-town guests when booking a room at the hotel. If you are based in Edmonton, but would like to stay on-site, please contact the BPAA directly.
