2 What is BigStuf? BigStuf is a ministry full of gifted people who love to share their skills, talents and faith to make a difference in the lives of students. Their desire is to create environments enhancing opportunities to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They have been hosting summer camps for middle and high school students for more than 25 years and they are committed to creating the best camp for your students to experience Christ Theme: Originals Everything starts somewhere. The greatest movements and the biggest heroes all had a beginning. Before the success, before the fame, before the impact, there was a time when someone dared to be an original. They dared to do something that had never been done, make something that had never been made, go somewhere that no one had gone before. Those stories are what BigStuf 2018 is about. Because whether we realize it or not, we are originals. And we have a story. And our story not only tells us who we are, but clues us into where we re headed. This summer, discover what it means to live like an original. We can t wait because here s one thing we know: originals change the world.

6 Cost: $500 Cost & Fundraising Payment Schedule: February 25- $100 Deposit Due April 29- $200 Due June 10- $200 Payment Due [Final Payment] Camp must be paid in full by June 10, 2018 Cost Includes: - Charter Bus to and from camp - Lodging for four nights in Panama City Beach, FL - Worship sessions with live band/speaker - Session materials - 10 meals while at camp - Small Groups - Recreation/Beach/Free Time Fundraising: Cars for Camp is this year s fundraising opportunity for BigStuf. Here is how it works: Students will ask family, friends, neighbors, or anyone else to sponsor them for the car wash events we are doing in the spring of Sponsors commit to giving a certain amount per car during the events. Example: Grandpa commits to giving the student $0.10 per car. We wash 100 cars between our car wash events. Grandpa would then be giving that student $10 toward camp. Example: A student gets 10 people to sponsor him/her for $0.30 per car and we wash 100 cars, that student would have raised $300 towards the cost of camp. The goal is for the student to get as many people as possible to sponsor him/her. We have had students go for free because of Cars for Camp! ANY CHECKS collected for camp should be made out to Foothills Community Church and ALL money raised during car washes will be used for camp. Dates and Location for Car for Camp are as follows: April 28 and May Golden Corner Auto Sales in Seneca
7 FAQ s How do I register for camp? Go to foothills.cc, click on the BigStuf banner, click register for BigStuf, fill out registration form, click submit What about phones? Students will be allowed to bring their phones to camp. However, we will encourage them to keep their phones in the rooms during activities so they can focus on what is going on during camp and so they do not lose it. We are not responsible for any phones lost during camp. How can I get in contact with my student? Students will be allowed to have phones. Kyle s phone is listed in the contacts section of this packet as well. We will also be posting to our social media sites through out the week so parents can get a glimpse of what is going on at camp. What type of transportation are we using? We will be traveling to camp on a charter bus. Company information is listed in the contacts section. Will I need to bring extra money? Yes. You will NEED to have money for lunch on both of our travel days. There is also opportunities for shopping and other activities you may want money for, but it is not required. When can I register for camp? Registration is open. WE ONLY HAVE 45 SPOTS so make sure you register and get your deposit in ASAP! What are some of the activities that are available during free time? Activities during free time include 3-on-3 basketball tournaments, volleyball tournaments, swimming, beach time, arcades, and more. Are there any scholarship opportunities? Attached is a BigStuf Scholarship Application [due Feb 5] that can be filled out and turned in. Students/Parents can also request for help from the people of FCC.
