1 Welcome to Camp Cedar Glen Summer Camps 2014! Do you Get Jesus? Dear Campers and Parents/Guardians, Camp is rapidly approaching and we are excited that YOU are going to join us this summer! We have been thinking and praying about this summer and about you. The staff is hired, the plans are set and now we are ready for a camp week filled with fun and fellowship. Now, a few things you need to know before you get here! The theme this year is Get Jesus. Be prepared to explore your faith, learn about who Jesus was, who He is, and what that means for you in your life. This year we are offering parents/guardians the opportunity to enjoy a little taste of the camp experience. On Sunday afternoon, after campers are registered and checked in, parents/guardians are invited to go with their campers to their cabins to meet the cabin counselors and the other campers and parents/guardians. After all campers have been checked in, we will convene in the chapel to go over camp rules, worship, sing songs, and learn more about the camp theme. After this chapel time, parents will be asked to say goodbye to their campers and make their way down the mountain, while the campers will meet in the dining hall for dinner. Our skilled and trained staff are just as excited as you are to be here this summer and are ready to lead you in awesome songs, silly skits, and great programming. We re pretty sure you ll even make some new friends along the way! Included with this letter is a list of drop off and pick up times, a packing list, our Camp Dress Code and the Camp Covenant. We would like you and your camper to look over this together and bring a signed copy to camp. We hope you will call us if you have any questions. (760) In Christ and for His service, Jason Kuiper, Director and The Camp Cedar Glen Family

7 From San Diego County: Directions to Camp Cedar Glen You can find directions to Camp Cedar Glen on Google Maps. Our address: 743 Farmer Rd. Julian, CA Or, you can use the old fashioned way below, just in case. Take I-8 to Hwy 79 Take Hwy 79 North into Julian In Julian, continue in the same direction on Main Street to the Stop Sign at Wynola Rd. (Note that Main St. changes to Farmer Rd ) Turn east (right) on Wynola Road In about 1/2 a block, turn left back onto Farmer Rd. (Note Cedar Glen Sign) Continue north 3/4 of a mile to the bottom of the hill Turn right into cattle gate, Cedar Glen is a 1/2 mile up the driveway (Note the sign) From LA, Orange & North San Diego Counties: Use either the I-5 or the I-15, take Hwy 78 east to Julian When you get to the Santa Isabel junction (do not turn left on to Hwy 79 ) continue east on Hwy 78 to Julian. In Julian, at the stop sign, turn west (left) on Main Street and continue to the Stop Sign at Wynola Rd. (Note the Main St. changes to Farmer Rd. ) Turn east (right) on Wynola Rd. In about 1/2 a block, turn left back onto Farmer Rd. Continue north 3/4 of a mile to the bottom of the hill Turn right into cattle gate, camp is a 1/2 mile up the driveway (Note the sign) From Riverside: Take the I-15 south to Temecula Exit Hwy 79 South (Indio Exit, not Winchester Exit) and continue south to Santa Isabel When you get to the Santa Isabel junction turn left at the stop sign (the only one so far on Hwy 78) and continue east on Hwy 78/79 into Julian. In Julian, at the stop sign, turn west (left) on Main Street and continue to the Stop Sign at Wynola Rd. (Not the Main St. changes to Farmer Rd. ) Turn east (right) on Wynola Rd. In about 1/2 a block, turn left back onto Farmer Rd. Continue north 3/4 of a mile to the bottom of the hill Turn right into cattle gate, camp is a 1/2 mile up the driveway (Note the sign) * After you pass Santa Isabel on Hwy 78 you can turn left onto Wynola Rd (right across from the Wynola Pizza Company w/ the big red barn) and it is about 3 miles of very windy road. You then turn left onto Farmer Rd. (Note you will drive pass one Farmer Rd. where you can turn right, you must pass that one and continue a 1/2 block up to the next Famer Rd. and turn left) We do not recommend this route because if there is any kind of inclement weather this road can become very tricky to navigate.
