Event Rosters will be available at October Algonquin District Round Tables. Please attend. Scouts and Adults to bring BAG Lunch, Drinks, Snacks, PRE-FILLED water. Coffee MAY be available for adults in the Campmasters Cabin, but if YOU need it, BYOS (Bring your own STUFF). We will have four program periods scheduled, with a lunch period. This will allow allowing us to adjust the schedule if we get more than 120 scouts. We can easily change lunch to a fifth period so more can shoot. Scouts can then take lunch when the Patrol Leader determines time is best. We are hopeful to accommodate as many Scouts as possible. Color Coded Index Cards will indicate which station a patrol will start at. We will do our best with a September event with inherent Troop planning issues. Adult Volunteers should be ready to Volunteer. Please pack Scout Spirit and sprinkle liberally as needed. FYI Scouts will go to the range on a First ONSITE Registered- First Shoot basis. Patrols will be issued the color coded index card accordingly. Units can set up camp after event is complete. We understand Camping needs involving time and light All Scouts that don t make the safety briefing are ineligible to shoot 22 rifle. SAFETY is our #1 Priority. 3 Firearms Safety Briefing Mandatory *30 Minutes Location: Cedar Law Rich Vonhout Note: ALL scouts must attend. EVENT STATIONS 2 SHOOTING STATIONS SHOOTING RIFLE Location: RIFLE RANGE (old site 6) RED STATION Location: Shooting Range Station Chief: Rich Vohnout 1 Rich Vonhout 2 NRA Trained Instructor Joey Panico 3 The More TRAINED Range Instructors we have the Safer the Event. 4 RSO TBA Notes: Scouts Must be minimum of 12 YEARS OLD to shoot 22 Caliber. BB Range Location: BB Range - We are planning a Council shuttle Van. Station Chiefs(s): 1- TBA For Scouts UNDER 12 Years old. Targets may include Cans and Plastic Bottles suspended from String. Balloons (Suggestion: awaiting boys blow them up and keep in a large box/ bin for the next group shooting). Need Caution tape and stakes for creation of a range. Troop 7 New Rochelle will provide a hand wash station for the event. TOMAHAWK Throw BLUE STATION Location: Site 4 field Station Chief: 1-Jonathan Hurst Help needed. 3

4 Notes: Must have Ranger set up backstops in advance. (Pick up or heavy moving equipment preferred). Range to be roped off. Will need Caution Tape and Stakes for field boarders.. SCOUT SKILLS GREEN STATION Location: Campsite Area Site 5 Assigned Leaders 1- David Kindberg * Station Chief 2- Dewan Thenmalai Notes: This will be station that scouts can go to with FREE TIME during the day with two substations for fun and or advancement. Scout Skills area with Knots and lashings/ Tents/ fire building/fce / snares demo. WB Games and independent games (bean bag toss, Parallel Ropes, etc ) to be set up also. Lashings Extraordinaire Station Chief: 1- TBA 2 (camp gadgets/trebuchets) SLING SHOT STATION 1- TBA Dog food to be used as projectiles. Should be collected (Box or tarps to Collect if possible.) Needs to be purchased in bulk. Range to be roped off. Notes: Need to confirm that we have equipment for use. Archery Location: Archery Range Station Chief: TBA 1- Scott Ladore (T 400) YELLOW STATION Notes: Distance to Range but the small hike will be beneficial- Doubtful they will shoot full hour - Range time shortened. LUNCH White Station Intentionally saved as a one hour block in the event we need to schedule and cycle another group. 4

Time limit 45 minutes. Equipment list for Scouts: THE SCOUT OUTDOOR ESSENTIALS From Boys Life They re called essentials for a reason. Every packing list starts with these 10 items. 1. A pocketknife or multitool can be handy in a wide variety of situations. It s useful for tasks as large as building an emergency shelter or lighting a campfire with poor fuel, or as small as repairing a damaged backpack. Keep you knife sharp and clean, and don t forget to first earn your Whittling Chip (for older Cub Scouts) or Totin Chip (for Boy Scouts). 2. A first-aid kit can be a lifesaver. Literally. A few items will allow you to treat scratches, blisters and other minor injuries. They should also allow you to provide initial care while waiting for help for more serious injuries. 5

6 3. Bring extra clothing to match the weather. Multiple layers are better than a single massive jacket, because layered clothing is adaptable to a wide range of temperatures. 4. Rain gear is very important. Rain can come in a hurry, and getting your clothes drenched is more than just uncomfortable, it can lead to hypothermia, a potentially fatal condition. 5. A flashlight, headlamp or a rugged penlight is important for finding your way in the dark. Bring extra batteries, too. 6. Trail food is good for maintaining your energy. Bring more than you think you ll need in case you get stuck (or lost) in the woods. 7. Water can prevent dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Use a lightweight, unbreakable container with a secure lid. 8. Matches and/or a fire starter may be used to light fires for heat, or for signaling for help. Store matches or lighters in resealable plastic bags. 9. Sun protection might include sunblock, sunglasses, lip balm and a wide-brimmed hat. 10.
