2 Camp Improvement Project A project designed to: Provide a national focus Engage Clubs and Individual members Provide grants to camps for improvements Utilize existing cash and future dues effectively 2

3 Camp Improvement Project Guiding Principles modified for 2016 & beyond Target funding is $6,000 per year Grants available to Canadian not-for-profit camps Grants available to a maximum of $2,000 Applications considered for a broad range of improvements new construction, renovation, new/upgraded equipment Applications will be evaluated as they are received Applications must have AOTS support Executive will review the project annually 3

4 Camp Improvement Project Administration The Camp Improvement Committee was established as a committee of the Executive Newmarket Trinity AOTS Club is the current Committee The Committee evaluates applications The Committee recommends grants for approval All grants are subject to final approval by The National AOTS Executive 4

7 CAMP MCDOUGALL Installed a wet agent fire suppression system to improve fire safety in the kitchen area. New system was required to meet local safety codes. 7

9 MACKENZIE CAMP Partial funding for safe treated water for camp, through upgrades to Ultra Violet sterilization & system distribution. System has not been installed; pending government approval. 9

10 ROCK LAKE CAMP Support for improvements including eavestroughing and new mirrors. Water play equipment including life jackets, buoys & ropes, a Water Blaster/Wedgie. Program equipment including a slack line, a wading pool and replacement of archery arrows. 10

18 Sherbrooke Lake Camp, NS Assistance to replace two main decks, the main lodge and the leaders lodge. Completed in time for the 2014 camping season. Replaced the decks using pressure treated lumber ensuring they will be looking good for the next 25+ years. 18
