Today after meeting or 5pm Wednesday o Sign up sent around and will be in office Wear UPAC shirt for both events Because of classes it will be an extra event point so it wont hurt your attendance. Special Events Off Campus: Hope you had a good labor day weekend! Newsies Orpheum Theatre in the cities o Wednesday, February 10 th o Discussion: Were paying $21 dollars for the tickets Agreed to pay $15 for students $10 for members at attendance Bus time is being determined Show will be at either 7pm or 7:30pm o Motion Maggie makes a motion to purchase 55 tickets to the Play Newsies in Minneapolis at the Orpheum Theater on Wednesday, February 10th. Bus departure time to be determined. Purchasing tickets for $21, selling to students for $15, UPAC members at attendance for $10. Two tickets per valid WSU ID. No Discussion Milwaukee Brewers Game
2 o Maggie makes a motion to revisit the previous motion from 4/21 regarding Milwaukee Brewers. Discussion on the situation and options we have We currently are selling the tickets for $15 dollars and $10 to UPAC members at attendance. We originally purchased the tickets for $27 Previously we did not think of the price of the bus, but going twice the distance as the cities it is going to twice as expensive. What we were thinking is changing the price to $20 to students and $15 to UPAC members at attendance. Also, because Maggie is apart of Homecoming committee and her duties are coronation, we were thinking about selling tickets on Tuesday at 9am. This also brings variations of students who are able to buy tickets. Thoughts? How many buses? o Only one o 4 hour ride to Milwaukee and back and a ticket to the game Where are the seats? o In the balcony o Sat in the seats before and you can see still Voucher for food? o Not for this event $20 for a baseball game seems like a lot for that bus ride too They are playing the cubs o Makes it worth the $20 because they are good teams Went to twins game for $27 and the seats were worse so it seems like a steal. Moving the ticket sale day? o Let s do it!! o Maggie moves to amend the motion by substituting $15 for $20 and $10 for $15, selling date Monday September 21st to Tuesday September 22nd No discussion o Maggie makes a motion to send a bus to Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs game at Miller Park in Milwaukee Wisconsin, on October
3 3 rd at 6:10pm. Ticket have already been purchased and will go on sale Tuesday September 22nd at 9 am in the UPAC office. $20 per ticket, allowing 2 tickets per valid WSU ID. UPAC members at attendance pay $15. Bus leaves Minne parking lot at 1pm. Seconded by: Rene Beaird No Discussion $5 Bowling Night o Saturday, September 12th at 11pm-1am o Be there at 10:45pm o Shuttle starts at 10:30pm If you need a ride take that shuttle o Sign up Write name on back if ride is needed o Jobs Doors: check ID and make sure they have tickets Tickets: sell tickets at door Crowd control: makes sure that the people get to right lanes Lane assigner: make sure people get in lanes together o If going to the member retreat recommended to still go? You should come and we will all be there with you o Do you have to stay the entire time There is a UPAC lane so when your shift is done you can bowl for free The shifts are only 30 minutes so you can leave after Don t have to purchase a ticket unless you plan on not working o Tickets go on sale this Thursday How to use the ticket tracker demonstration o Please practice this in your office hour and ask a board member for help this is important that you learn how to do this o Make sure ticket number in tracker and on ticket match! o MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN THE TEST EVENT NOT THE $5 BOWLING EVENT o You can do it on your own laptop doesn t need to be on the Mac in the office Concerts: Working on fall concert in committees and potentially voting next week in the purple rooms o Make sure to come and have a say in who we bring o Committee will be discussing top 10 list for fall concert tonight Light it Up DJ o Powerpoint of items Necklace
4 Bracelets Glow gloves Glow batons o Discussion o Looking into getting glasses and beach balls as well $3.95 each $ different colors $9.02 each on amazon They will be here before the 17 th We should get the 10 inch ones 300 people and someone will each get something o This event is a giant glow party in East Hall on the Friday of homecoming with music and dancing o With the statues and lights in east hall we should maybe not have beach balls o Glasses are a good, different idea like something on your eyes. o Not everyone would get a beach ball 2 5 beach balls 5 pack for $15.00 Should we double the amount of bracelets and get 2 packs of glasses? o Joe says beach balls should work out fine there is no problem o REALLY likes the glasses! No beach balls o Glasses Come in packs of 50 and in variety of colors Should get 2 packs for safety and if we have extras can hand them out Use as an incentive for first 100 people to get them that are there o Why did we not get one beach ball one glasses? There were only a couple people who wanted beach balls so we are going to go with glasses instead o What else was there as a different option? More of the things that we already have We already have a lot of stuff o One per person for the glasses but that is why we are looking to get more so that we would have more things for each person. People would have more fun if they had more glow sticks o Event Is free so we don t know how many people will be there o Maybe get more bracelets or necklaces to get more for your money. $10 for 15 bracelets Can get them at the dollar store Tracy can get 300 for about $20 online o Just get 100 sunglasses. o Motion:
