3 To get to the walk, you and your family might choose to: Drive to the stadium If you do, be prepared to maybe sit in some traffic. These roads can get busy for big events! Once you get there, you might need to walk across the big, busy parking lot. Be careful and keep your eyes up! Holding hands is a good idea here.

4 Tropicana Field Here s what Tropicana Field Stadium looks like from the outside. This is where you ll be spending your fun day with friends and family for the Autism Speaks Walk! You may have gone to the walk last year, when it was outside. This year the walk will be inside, how cool!

5 When you get to the stadium you will need to check-in Register Your Team You need to let them know you are there and pick up anything they may have for you. This is what this area looks like. There may be a line for this part, so do your best to wait patiently. You will be inside soon enough!

6 Time to Go Inside the Stadium! Because the walk is inside this year, you will have to do some new things: Go through security The security guard will ask to look inside your bag (if you bring one). No big deal. This will be faster and easier if you are ready for him watch the person in line in front of you. After checking your bag, you will then be wanded by security. Don t worry the wand won t touch you and doesn t take long at all! Sometimes there is a line to get through security. It doesn t take long. Just try to be patient and stay calm. Talking to your friends and family while waiting can make it go faster!

7 Here is where you go in! Lots of people will be excited to get inside, just like you!!

8 Inside Tropicana Before the Walk There will be signs that tell you where you to go inside the stadium. You and your family & friends can decide where you want to go first.

9 Inside Tropicana Before the Walk Here is the hallway that takes you to the field to get the fun started! It s almost time to start walking!

10 Inside Tropicana Field During the Walk Sights: There will be LOTS of people at Tropicana Field! Most of them will be very friendly, but that doesn t mean that it s safe to talk to strangers by yourself or walk away from your family and friends. Be careful! Holding hands is a great idea in bigger crowds.

11 Inside Tropicana Field During the Walk More Sights: People will be walking around looking at tables set up, participating in the walk and checking out the different parts of the stadium. You will see people of all different ages, sizes, shapes, colors, and abilities. You don t need to ask anyone about how they look.

12 Inside Tropicana Field During the Walk More Sights: People will be all around the field and stadium hallways before and during the walk. Make sure to always look where you are going! There will be a stage on the field, too. Here is where it will be.

13 Inside Tropicana Field During the Walk Sounds: You ll hear music playing through the speakers around the stadium. Don t worry, it won t be too loud. You might like some of the songs! There will also be some announcements that are made during the walk on a microphone! You will also hear a the crowd throughout the walk. Sometimes it may be louder than other times. It s ok to cover your ears if it gets too loud. If it gets too loud, there are places you can go to take a break.

14 During the Walk You will walk with your friends and family when it is time to start. You can talk to others while you are walking, listen to music, whatever you would like! Here is where you will exit the field to begin the walk!

15 Here is what the crowd walking may look like:

16 When it is Time to Leave You will walk with your friends and family back to the car when the walk is over. You will not have to go through security again when you leave. You will be walking through the big parking lot again so make sure you are looking around to be safe! Here is what it looks like heading to the parking lot to go home!

17 The most important thing to remember while you are at Tropicana Field is this: the Autism Speaks Walk is meant to be fun! You should be comfortable and enjoying yourself with your friends & family. If there is a problem or you feel anxious or frustrated, please tell someone. Ask for help. It s ok!
