1 TVK Newsletter September 2017 No.7 From the editors According to the meteorological agenda we should have a little bit of summer left. A period in which the committee and editors work on planning new activities and look back on things. We wish to share information on a varied number of topics with you in this edition. And we ask that you pay special attention to the topic volunteers needed. Throwback to the Spring Meeting in Lelystad We held the 49th annual spring meeting during the past Ascension weekend (from 25 until 27 May). The place where it was held: de fair Batavia Harbor in Lelystad. Many people were interested - especially for the northern edition - with about 24 boats and more than 75 participants! The weather was once again wonderful; a sunny sky with a -sometimes subtropical - temperature and the wind was great, although strong, for sailing on Saturday. A fun and whole report of the meeting is on the website, under the tab events. Recommended for those who were present of course, but especially worth the read for those who were not (yet) there this year. Photos spring meeting available for printing options Jeroen Noot made a fantastic action photo shoot of all participating boats that sailed on the Markermeer. The participants of the competition will soon receive an with a number of photos for personal use. Jeroen is also offering the opportunity to pay for prints in all shapes, sizes, and products via the Oypo website. The products Oypo offers vary from large photo prints on special paper to making wall decoration, such as canvas prints. It is worth seeing wonderful action photos of your boats differently.

2 The revenue of the print products that will be ordered through Oypo will go to the KNRM (Dutch non-profit Rescue Organization). Check out this link to the website to see your photos and read the instructions on how to order any products: We will also update the TVK website with instructions and background information on this service. Volunteers needed We are looking for help from members willing to help with many committee activities and invest in the future of the Trintella Friends Association. Among other things, we are looking for help with the following activities: Layout of the annual TVK magazine. New layout to start in Layout and distribution of the digital newsletter. Developing and organizing the events program. Coördination of the TVK Shop Serial coordinator of the Trintella A en C series Interested? Mrs Riekie Wever 80 years old Many members have adhered to the congratulatory call to wish our honorary member Rieke Wever a happy 80th birthday. She was pleasantly surprised with a full mailbox of congratulations from members from all over the world. She wished to thank everyone for the warm birthday wishes through this message.

3 New in the TVK Shop We have added a sweater and zoodie (a zipped hoodie) to the assortment of our TVK shop. Download the catalogue through the website to see what colors and sizes are available and see the cost. Have you looked at our shop before? Check the catalogue for nice presents with the TVK logo. The Autumn meeting is soon upon us! The sailing season can still grant us many lovely Indian summer days, yet we are working hard to prepare for the Autumn meeting! It will take place in the surprisingly beautiful town of Amersfoort on Saturday 18 November this year. Our hosts are Marion and Herbert Luiten (Vrijheid (Freedom), Trintella III). They have managed to put together an interesting program for us. We will be given the opportunity to -partially by our own choice - see the sights the city has to offer: In the morning from the NH-Hotel; a city walk of your choice guided by professionals. lunch in the lovely ambiance of the Observant, a former convent. the afternoon can be filled in as you wish and we will have organized an interesting presentation called Sailing is Done Together in the Observant as well at 16:00. In the evening we will drink something there, followed by the annual members meeting and dinner to end with. The application form will be sent as an attachment with the next magazine. The cost of participation to the program have not yet been set but will be around 75 per person.

4 We have opted for a number of double rooms in the NH-Hotel for those who wish to spend the night. The option remains until 4 weeks before the meeting for a price of max. 90 per room, including breakfast. Paid parking is available on the hotel grounds.
