What to Expect The sewing room will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21st with official activities starting at 5:00 p.m. Registration and projects will start after dinner.

The cost of $200 will include your room with bed, linens, and meals from Friday evening through lunch on Sunday.

If you are not already an OQS member, there will be a $20 additional charge.

If you cancel after September 1st, there will be no refund.

A Quilting Stitchuation Of Ruidoso, NM The retreat will have its own vendor so you can purchase fabric, books, and other notions you may have forgotten. There is always a huge selection to choose from. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted! What to Expect The sewing room will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21st with official activities starting at 5:00 p.m. Registration and projects will start after dinner. Remember, we will continue to sew until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday when the retreat will close. The cost of $200 will include your room with bed, linens, and meals from Friday evening through lunch on Sunday. There will be fun and visiting, project instructions, fellowship, and great scenery and memories for the making. If you are not already an OQS member, there will be a $20 additional charge. If you cancel before September 1 st, there will be a nonrefundable fee of $25. If you cancel after September 1st, there will be no refund. Massage Therapists The massage therapists will be returning this year to the retreat. Sign-up sheets will be available for 15 minute chair massages for a cost of $15. You won t want to miss her beautiful collection. We will have our annual quilt tour of the bed- please bring something to share.

2 Challenge Where s Hexi At last fall s retreat, everyone was given a mini hexagon that is to be incorporated into the front of the quilt and it must remained intact. Everyone is using the same fabric so if you need a Hexi please contact Jill Craig at or gourmetgus@hotmail.com Use any materials you choose, any colors, just incorporate the theme. Viewer s choice and prizes will be awarded. Guidelines: Quilts must be less than 120 perimeter Any technique or embellishments are acceptable Quilt must consist of three layers and be finished on all edges Theme must be incorporated in the quilt No identifying information should be displayed on the front of the quilt You must have your name on the back of the quilt. Quilt will be turned in on the first day of the retreat and displayed Be creative, enjoy the process and have fun. AccuQuilt Big Go Electric Cutter There will be two AccuQuilt cutters available this fall. Bring some fabric or a pile of scraps; use the dies to cut shapes, strips, etc. for a project of perhaps a charity quilt. It would be helpful to visit AccuQuilt s website and watch a video on how to use the machine Elizabeth Somers will be doing a demonstration on English Paper Piecing with Freezer Paper. Nathalie Neill s demonstration will be a SURPRISE!! White Elephant Sale! Remember to bring any unwanted quilting notions, fabric, patterns, magazines, etc. you would like to donate to this fun event.
