On the grounds of the NEIGHBORHOOD SOCIAL CLUB 4168 State Route 162 Pontoon Beach, Illinois

Our show is a reflection of automotive history, a walk down memory lane for some, a look into the future for others. THEN includes the hot rods, classics, muscle cars, resto-rods, vintage cars and trucks, restored and tricked out trucks, customs, kit cars, and lowriders that were instrumental in building our hobby. and NOW includes today s daily drivers, which will become a part of the future of our hobby. If it rolls on 4 wheels, you re liable to see it here, Old and New Chargers, Mustangs, Challengers, Impalas, Thunderbirds, and Chrysler 300s, Tricked out S-10s, vintage Plymouths, Desotos, Packards, AMCs, Oldsmobiles, Buicks, and Studebakers A Corvette here and there, maybe a Delorean, Cadillacs, Fairlanes, Comets, Vipers, a few GTOs, Monte Carlos, Lincolns, Gran Prixs, pickups and van from the 50s, 60s and 70s, a couple of Cougars, Barracudas, Chrysler letter cars, El Caminos, Galaxies, Dusters, Darts, Novas, Chevelles, And of course no show would be complete without a handful of 55, 56, and 57 Chevys. Our show is not about winning an award or trophy. Although we will be awarding 9 trophies to Charger owners, our show is about the comradery our hobby develops. The awards we will be presenting are in recognition of your many hours of dedication to mechanical and sheet metal restoration, those late night hours out in the garage, those busted knuckles, those long waits for parts and paint, those deals that were made with guys in your groups, those many times you asked yourself, Is this all worth it? Why did I decide to do this? They are presented as an acknowledgement from your peers for a job well done. Our hobby develops a comradery unlike any other. We develop friends, get to know each other s family, watch kids grow up. I wanted our show to build on that base, hoping you ll make this show part of your family s summer vacation plans, visit some of our national tourist attractions, invite your club members to join, share the joys and frustrations we all encounter, make some new friends, renew old acquaintances. We have plenty of room available for displaying cars, trucks, and vans, setting up vendor displays, individual canopies, club or group tents, parking for campers or motorhomes, a swap meet area and a car corral area.

To ensure a smooth and orderly process, please follow these guidelines. We will make every effort to meet your needs, but we do need your cooperation. 1. If you are going to share a 10 x 10 or 10 x 12 canopy with someone, make sure you arrive together to expedite parking. 2. We have room for a club or group hospitality tent. Reserve space before the event. me at apparelplus@charter.net, provide the name of your group, who will be responsible for set up, take down and clean up in and around the tent during the event, the size space you need, how many members of your group or club you expect and when you would like to set the tent up. 3. If your want to park a camper or motorhome, please provide your name and cell phone # if you ll have one with you, and what day you expect to arrive. You may exit and reenter as often as you need to, however you must park in the space provided in case we have to contact you. (emergency, etc.) 4. Space is assigned on a first come, first served basis Chargers will have a reserved area on the grounds to park in. 6. If your club or group intends to bar-b-que at any time during the event, please ensure you provide trash bags and that your members throw their trash in them and not on the ground, likewise with coals, don t throw them on the ground. If you don t know where the dumpster is, ask and someone will point it out for you. 7. If you bring a pet, keep it on a leash and clean up after it. No exceptions. The Village has a Leash Law and does enforce it. No one wants to step in your pets dodo because of your laziness. Be respectful of others. 8. The Club will allow everyone to use the inside facilities. Please remember, you are their guest, act appropriately, respect their property and do not do anything that will cause an embarrassment to you, your family or your club. 9. The hotel/motel parking lots will not be used as a swap meet area. If you made a deal with someone to buy, sell or trade parts before the event that is fine, but do not think you will be allowed to sit on the lot all day hoping to sell something. 10. No FOR SALE signs will be permitted to be displayed on the vehicles during the show. The Car Corral is the appropriate place for that Sunday AM> /50 tickets will be sold all day Friday to participants and during the Birthday Party and the Mixer. We will draw the winner at approximately 8:15PM. You must be present to win. We will draw until we have a winner. 12. We will not be providing Security on the Club grounds or at the hotels. We have asked the Police Department to be highly visible during your stay. 13. The cruises scheduled for Thursday and Saturday evenings are to 2 different locations. The cost of meals and beverages you order at either location is not included in your registration fees. 14. Everyone that pre-registers will receive 1 or 2 event t-shirts, depending on how you register. Just you, 1 t-shirt, you and your better half (whoever that may be), 2 t-shirts. Shirts are white, have an imprint on the left front chest and full back and are available in sizes adult small to 5XL. Be sure you include your sizes on your registration. 15. Registrations on Friday or Saturday will be $15.00 each day, and no t-shirts are included.

We will be awarding trophies( shown above) in 9 categories. All entered Chargers are eligible for an award. Your fellow owners will be casting the votes all day Friday. Categories are: Favorite Original Favorite Restored Favorite Engine Compartment Favorite Trunk Area Favorite Interior Favorite Undercarriage Favorite Exterior Favorite Display Best of Show The 45 th Anniversary logo will be imprinted on the circle portion at the top and the category will be engraved on the bottom I ve put together a small one page ballot with some hints on what I thought you should consider in each area as you look at the cars, talk to the owners, and cast your ballot. The trophies will be presented Sunday AM. Thursday evening we will cruise to a local Culver s for burgers and fries.

Friday evening we will host the Birthday Party in the Hall at the Club. It will be a catered dinner from one of our very best caterers for you and your guest(s) only. We must have 40 people scheduled to attend or we will have to consider another choice. I must require advanced registrations for you and your guests and payment NO LATER THAN 5PM, May 1, Registrations are $17.50 per person. The Dinner will include: 2 entrees: your choice of either Fried Chicken or Herb Roast Porkloin with Apples 3 sides: Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Baked Ragatoni and Country Green Beans Fresh salad w/dressing Fresh Bread Birthday Cake Coffee or Tea 2 drinks from the bar per person: Beer, wine or soda A DJ will be on hand throughout the Party and the Mixer. The caterer I have selected in very well known in this area for their Fried Chicken and their service. I think you all will enjoy the food, no matter which entrée you select. I must call and meet with them to contract the dinner. I will be doing this on May 2 nd. Once I have signed the contract, there are no refunds and no one can be added. Therefore, no reservations will be taken the day of the event or sold at the door. If youmust cancel, sorry, no refunds. I will post a message to remind everyone of the deadline as it nears so we avoid the I didn t know excuse, like we had at the 40 th. At or around 7:15/7:30, we will open the doors for the Mixer. There is no cost for the Mixer. It is an excellent time to renew old friendships, meet new friends, talk shop, etc., etc.,etc.. There will be a Cash Bar available. We will pull the 50/50 winner at 8:15. You must be present to win. We will draw until we have a winner. Saturday morning we will meet for breakfast at the Flying J Truck Stop, then line up for escort to the Club grounds at/around 8:30AM. I have asked the Police to supply a Charger as the escort vehicle. Saturday night we will cruise to one of the local casino s for Dinner. The one I picked has 5 choices for an evening meal, 2 lounges and an array of table games and slots. (Missouri does not have a loss limit, nor do they require a players card.) We ll stay until around 9:30/10PM, have the Casino announce we are getting ready to leave and cruise back to the hotels/motels. Sunday morning we will present the awards beginning at/around 10AM. We ll be done by Noon. The pages that follow provide you a Schedule, information on the hotels/motels, dining facilities, service station, tourist attractions, registration forms.
