Our HSEQ Systems Manager has the sole focus of ensuring Tomkins operations comply with AS/ NZS ISO 9001:2008; AS/NZS 4801:2001 and ISO 14001:2004. One of the greatest compliments Tomkins enjoys is the extent of repeat business from clients. They enjoy the relationship that is built as Tomkins works with them on delivering successful project outcomes, and so do we. Mike is at the forefront of business operations and takes an active role in each and every project. Mike s technical skill and expertise crosses over all aspects of building and development in an endto-end format, which enables him to provide specialist advisory services with clients ranging from private developers, institutional clients and government agencies. JULIAN FRENCH OPERATIONS MANAGER Julian has extensive experience constructing large government and institutional projects with Green Star and NABERS ratings. His suite of skills is increased by his ability to mentor project teams and achieve project objectives. With a proven record of managing company growth through difficult market conditions, Julian bases his success on close attention to detail, implementing fluent management systems, setting attainable project goals and strong working relationships with clients, staff and project teams. ANNA BORISSOVA CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Anna is a Certified Practicing Accountant with over 13 years experience. Anna s primary focus has been in providing owner-managed businesses advisory services in the areas of strategic planning, financial and operations management, business structuring and cash flow management. She works closely with the Tomkins leadership team to assist them in meeting strategic business objectives. This is backed by 21 years of construction experience on projects from small fitouts to billion-dollar alliances. His detailed knowledge of project delivery, the property and construction market, and strategic growth spans across all sectors and delivery models. Cameron advocates a collaborative and partnering approach to develop best-for-project solutions that are client centric. RHOD GAVIN BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER Rhod is a results-driven, relationship focused manager with over 25 years experience specialising in construction and development. His experience in leadership, strategy development, market research and financial modelling is key to Rhod s successful delivery of outcomes and solutions. Rhod s strong skills in communication, negotiation and relationship management have developed his network of highly valued stakeholders and consultants. SHANE CLEMENTS HSEQ MANAGER Shane has over 25 years experience within the construction industry and has been passionate about Occupational Health and Safety ever since the introduction of the WHS Act in He has built his career around developing and implementing procedures and processes involving workplace safety, and is devoted to continually improving systems within Tomkins. A competent and committed Health & Safety Manager, Shane s extensive experience means he is highly skilled at interpreting and implementing legislative requirements resulting in minimal risks on all levels. Our Customer Care Team is the direct and consistent line of communication for our clients and takes responsibility for addressing quality, improvements, and maintenance with building owners and property managers. The services of our Customer Care Team include: Quality Management Minor Works and Building Maintenance Tenancy FItouts Undertaking and Coordinating Presentative Maintenance Facilities Management The Customer Care Team, alongside the project team, will undertake handover training and education of end users on the safe and efficient operation of the building. This training will include strategies for the proper maintenance to increase the life span and maintain the long term quality of the facilities. 21 SPECIAL PROJECTS The Tomkins Special Projects division caters to minor works jobs, refurbishments, redevelopments and fitouts. It s our way of connecting with the company s grassroots, where it all began. This division is led by a team of highly skilled team who are experienced across all phases of a project life cycle. They have the attention to detail necessary in our smaller projects, ensuring a quality delivery for each client. Current and recently completed Special Projects works include the James Street Development, Brickworks Design Studio, Winn Lane Display Unit, 171 Robertson St and the QUT Lift Upgrade and PWD Amenities. 22 DIVISIONAL INVOLVEMENT SUNSHINE COAST & REGIONAL Tomkins has an office on the Sunshine Coast, to meet the demand for the high growth in the region and further afield. Statistics released by the Sunshine Coast Council show that growth in development on the Sunshine Coast continues to rise. Having already completed a number of projects within this region, Tomkins won the 2015 Master Builders Retail Facilities award for work completed at the Beerwah Shopping Village. Tomkins is also proud to have had an ongoing sponsorship of the Kawana Waters Surf Life Saving Club for many years, which has included a contribution to their $10M club upgrade and assistance for the club in providing the necessary training and equipment their Life Savers need to do their jobs. This division is led by Construction Manager Barry Lehmann. With a proven track record spanning more than 20 years, Barry s strength in building lasting relationships is amplified with his strict rigour of management across all project types, sizes and delivery methods. As a highly motivated leader he is comfortable in all sectors of the construction industry, understands the life cycle of development and is a solution focussed design manager and records scores of successful projects. We celebrate the national award-winning Building T project for the Australian Catholic University and current construction work at St Joseph s Primary School, ACU s Student Led Clinic and Moreton Bay Boys College. MULTI-RESIDENTIAL & MIXED USE Tomkins has a very strong background within this sector with a portfolio that includes projects of ten through to 100 apartments, units and townhouses. Our design and construction expertise provides quality support to each client with a value engineering approach. With quality personnel involved from the very start, our projects are renowned for achieving our clients objectives on time and on budget. Tomkins recently completed Haymans Electrical Warehouse and the award-winning DHL Express Logistics Warehouse, both for Brisbane Airport Corporation. COMMERCIAL Tomkins continues to achieve quality results for clients in the commercial sector. Key Tomkins projects include the College Junction Health Precinct, Chermside Library and North Regional Business Centre Redevelopment and the Hudson Road Albion project where we successfully delivered the six storey base building and subsequent fitout of the ground floor food outlets and six levels of high end fitout and the Gladstone Regional Council Offices. Tomkins were awarded the 2014 Civil Contractor of the Year by Master Builders for the Carinya Drive Stabilisation Project for Gladstone Regional Council. Tomkins have completed a variety of civil projects recently including a 50,000m2 car parking facility in Eagle Farm and a 610 space car park and sports court facility for Australian Catholic University. HEALTH, AGED CARE AND SENIORS LIVING Tomkins has an award-winning history in health sector projects with our team having a great understanding of the specialist and technically detailed specifics of these project types. Recently completed projects include the ACU Health Clinic & Student Led Clinic, Mater Brookwater Health Centre and the Royal Women s Hospital Radiation Therapy Bunker. We are currently building the College Junction Health Precinct on Sandgate Road in Clayfield. & REFURBISHMENT Tomkins has strong foundations in the fitout and refurbishment sector. Tomkins understands this, and has successfully delivered projects from regional shopping centres to high-end retail stores for national clients. Recent projects include the award-winning Beerwah Shopping Village and James Street Retail Precinct Redevelopment, and the new Design Studio for Brickworks Fortitude Valley. HERITAGE Construction on heritage-listed buildings is highly specialised and requires a unique building approach in order to maintain the building s character that make it so special. Matching materials and finishes, managing regulatory bodies and satisfying stakeholders are all part of the job for heritage related work. Recent heritage projects for Tomkins include the QUT Lift Upgrade & PWD Amenities, the award-winning Sandgate Town Hall refurbishment, and restoration works for the Queensland Maritime Museum and Toowong Cemetery. Vince and brother Peter established Tomkins Bros in As a successful business owner, Vince has been responsible for training scores of apprentices over the years and has volunteered countless hours towards heritage restoration projects in south-east Queensland.
