2 ICTC Roles and Responsibilities The ICTC was established under Senate Bill 607 (Ducheny) approved in 2009 and became effective January 1, 2010 As part of SB 607, ICTC had replaced Imperial Valley Association of Governments (IVAG) for all regional transportation programs and responsibilities As a County Transportation Commission, the ICTC and its member agencies are responsible to lead the transportation planning and programming process for Imperial Valley region ICTC is a Subregional agency within the SCAG region of six counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Imperial 2
3 Core Programs & Services ICTC is responsible for the management and development of the following programs: Regional Transit Planning and Bus Operations Regional Transportation Planning - Regional Highway and Goods Movement Planning Programming State and Federal Funding for Highways and Transit Local Transportation Authority (LTA) Measure D half-cent Sales Tax Program A Self-Help County 3

15 Purpose of Study: Assess the feasibility of an inter-college shuttle service for three campus locations: Imperial Valley College (IVC) and SDSU campuses in the cities of Calexico and Brawley Analyze clean energy vehicle alternatives (e.g., Electric buses, Gas/Electric-Hybrids, CNG-Natural Gas, Hydrogen Fuel) Goal of Study: Transit service implementation plan complete with estimates for capital & operations costs

17 IVT Service Increases Dec Increased Saturday service by adding 4 trips, during peak service hours Reduced service headways from 70 to 35 minutes during peak service hours from Calexico to El Centro Increased the Imperial Valley College (IVC) Express trips from 6 to 11 (3 morning trips and 2 afternoon trips) Implemented the Brawley IVT Gold Line Intracity bus service Introduced for the first time a limited Sunday service schedule (4 trips on 2 routes, 2 morning and 2 evening) Recenty initiated Dial-a-Ride services called IVT Ride in Cities of Brawley, Calexico, Imperial, and County Community of Westshores
