4 INTRODUCTION TO IAPH HAMBURG 2015 The 29 th World Ports Conference of the International Association of Ports & Harbors (IAPH) organised by The Hamburg Port Authority will be held in Hamburg at Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) from 1-5 June 2015 under the banner theme of City of Hamburg Calling at the smartport. The event is an important platform for leading figures from the maritime industry, port authorities and associations. Topics of global concern such as safety and security, ecology, port financing and macroeconomic challenges as well as insights into Hamburg s smartport concept will be addressed. The conference will feature a broad range of presentations geared towards industry experts as well as high-calibre speakers that will explore the challenges and solutions of modern port logistics under the smartport aspect from various perspectives. For instance, Ms. Christine Loh, Under Secretary for the Environment, HKSAR Government, will be a featured speaker at the event presenting Hong Kong s Action to Clean up Maritime Emission and sharing her views on Clean Air in Ports during conference session.
