7 PETROCHEMICAL Konnect Fastening Systems has been providing quality studbolt and fastening solutions to the petrochemical market for over 25 years. The experience gained in working with leading global manufacturers has seen us develop a range of products and finishes to meet the most demanding applications. Our dedicated studbolts facility located in Redcliffe, Western Australia, can offer quick turnaround times due to on site stocks of raw material as well as pre-cut product. Pre-cut product is also available through distribution centres. Significant amounts of precut stock is held in our distribution centres throughout Australia. Konnect Fastening Systems studbolts are marked at the time of manufacture to identify them as product and indicate the grade of material. Traceability to raw materials used is maintained throughout the manufacturing process and all products can be supplied with full certification for material composition and mechanical properties. In addition to off the shelf products, Konnect Fastening Systems have relationships with several manufacturing and engineering firms providing access to custom and specialised fasteners on request. Konnect Fastening Systems also has our own brand. The Konnect Fastening Systems offering comprises products including mild steel, high tensile and stainless steel fasteners, threaded rod, rivets, self-drilling screws and structural assemblies. Konnect Fastening Systems brand offering products are manufactured to relevant Australian or corresponding international standards. Test certificates, mill certificates and letters of compliance are available on request for all Konnect Fastening Systems high tensile products. Containers are fitted with appropriate lighting and shelving and can be assembled and stocked ready for transport to site. Due to our large range it can sometimes be difficult to select the appropriate product mix for a site and Konnect Fastening Systems can also help in this area. 13 ELECTRONIC CAPABILITY Konnect Fastening Systems utilises the Oracle e-business Suite throughout its nationally linked computer network. This system enables development of B2B solutions for large account customers as well as online trading capability through our online store. Our Oracle IT system consists of six integrated applications interacting in unison - Procurement, Order Management, Inventory Management, Finance, Work In Progress & the Discoverer Reporting Tool. This system allows full monitoring and control across all areas of our business and enables full traceability throughout our business processes. All undertakings are fully recorded, which is particularly advantageous for account keeping purposes. We have the ability to invoices and statements monthly in addition to hard copy versions, allowing customers to electronically monitor and save all accounting information and exchanges. Konnect Fastening Systems continually strives to keep up to date with the most modern accounting practices and technologies to enable easy contact and smooth transactions with our customers. B2B Trading As part of our continuing effort to ensure transactions with our customers are as fast and hassle free as possible, we have begun to develop solutions enabling direct B2B trading for large account customers. Seamless integration between our Oracle system and customer computer systems is possible via a third party electronic integration partner, allowing simple and efficient ordering with no manual intervention. Full integration is currently provided to customers using Quadrem and Mincom Axis as their trading partners and future integration with other providers is able to be investigated. External auditing is performed by SGS Australia, one of the world s leading certification bodies. 17 TRAINING Konnect Fastening Systems is committed to training and developing its staff and has implemented a comprehensive online learning management system (LMS) to deliver and record flexible and competency based training to all its employees. On commencement with Konnect Fastening Systems, a detailed induction program consisting of LMS and on the job training is in place for all new staff members. After completion of their induction training, staff members have the opportunity to further develop their skills by undertaking additional LMS training packages. Staff identified as high performers who are seeking career advancement are invited into Certificate IV and Diploma level training in Frontline Management. Tuition assistance programs are available to staff as a means to assist in attaining further qualifications that will enhance their ability to advance through the business. An annual performance appraisal process provides an opportunity for all staff to discuss career goals with their managers, identify skills gaps and request approved training. This provides the foundation for internal and external training that occurs throughout the year. Common training that is offered includes external courses in leadership, sales, customer service, project management, financial management, safety and Microsoft Office. Critically, for Branch staff, regular product knowledge training from both internal and external providers is also undertaken.
