1 Travel Guide for Rajkot Hackathon Participants Pick up Points in Rajkot for All participants Buses have been arranged by Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) for transportation of participants from Rajkot City to Marwadi University. These buses will operate from three pick up points in Rajkot viz. Greenland Chokdi, Rajkot (at entrance of Rajkot city); Trikon Bagh, Rajkot and; Rajkot Junction Railway Station. LAKHATARIYA (+91) Bus Timings There will be one bus operating every half & hour between Pick-up points and Marwadi university starting from 4 PM onwards on 28/07/17 and will continue to operate till 12 PM on 29/07/17. Please note the buses will operate during night hours. Note:- For return journey from Marwadi University to Rajkot city, bus service will be available from 30 th July evening to 31 st July afternoon. The drop down points in Rajkot city will be Trikon baug and Rajkot Junction Railway Station. For participants Reaching Rajkot via train For participants arriving via train to Rajkot, pick up has been arranged by Rajkot Municipal Corporation from Rajkot Junction Railway Station in Rajkot. 3 i) Getting to the Geeta Mandir ST Bus Stand (Ahmedabad) in Ahmedabad from Kalupur Railway Station (Ahmedabad) and Sardar Vallabhai International Airport (Ahmedabad) Participants should make their own transportation arrangements from Ahmedabad Airport or Kalupur Railway station (Ahmedabad) to the Geeta Mandir ST Bus Stand (Ahmedabad). Address of Geeta Mandir ST Bus Stand:- New Terminal No 1, New Bus Stand Hub Town, Astodia Road, Geeta Mandir Road, Ahmedabad It is approximately 3 kms from Kalupur Raiway Station and 15 kms from Ahmedabad Airport. Taxis (Ola and Uber are also available) and local auto rickshaws are available outside railway station or airport. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Geeta Mandir ST Bus Stand from Kalupur railway station and about 45 minutes from Ahmedabad Airport. 4 Route from Ahmedabad Airport to Geeta Mandir Bus Stand ii) Taking the Volvo bus from Ahmedabad to Rajkot There are Volvo buses available from Ahmedabad to Rajkot route, operated by Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) as well as private operators. It is recommended to take the volvo bus services provided by GSRTC as it will drop you at Hackathon pick-up points in Rajkot. The schedule and price of GSRTC Volvo is outlined as below. Distance from Ahmedabad to Rajkot is approximately 250kms (4 to 5 hours journey).
