It s recommended to use the White Taxi in case you are in a hurry or don t want to wait to a ride hailing service.

Google Maps is updated with the tram stations and you should have minimum inconvenience to use it to find the closest to your hotel. We recommend using it casually or for sightseeing as it has infrequent breakdowns and it can affect your ETA.

5 The Cairo Metro/Subway Cairo has three metro lines (the third one is partially under construction as shown in the map). The metro lines extend vertically and horizontally across the city. The metro system runs efficiently. It is without doubt the quickest and cheapest way to transverse the city, costing varies from 3EGP to 7EGP according to your stations count and zones. Of course the metro won t get you everywhere but it will get you around. It s very cheap, fast and safe. It is much recommended to use in case of transporting within Cairo. Note that the middle two carts (Highlighted with RED signs) of every train are only for women and the two carts after them (Highlighted with GREEN signs) are for women till 9 pm. Also, women can ride on all the carts not just the ones designated for women. So if you re a man try not to get in one of these carts, however if you look foreign most women would probably not comment and just assume you aren t aware of the rule. Using the metro in Cairo is the same as anywhere in the world, you go to the station, get a ticket, find the right track, and get on the train. Metro tickets can be purchased at any of the kiosks in the station. The metro operates daily from about 5:30 am to half past midnight. Intervals between trains vary throughout the day, but waits are never more than 15 minutes. Ordinary Only 2'nd and 3'rd classes (not air-conditioned). Stops at villages and centers. Tickets are issued directly at the station with no prior reservation.

You can catch a bus from the airport to get you to the main railway station to get a train or a regional public transportation station that gets you to downtown Alexandria and from there you can get a Taxi to the hotel. Or mostly happen, You get a Private Limousine (available by the bunch in the Airport) but if something went wrong you won t have a reliable customer support to go to. We recommend using a ride hailing service (Uber or Careem) or the Cairo Airport Shuttle Service (7 persons Van) for a number of reasons that includes reliability, comfort, cost and more. This would be most efficient if you are going to split the fare with 6 others in case you are a group with the Cairo Airport Shuttle. And 3 others max in case of (Uber or Careem) if the luggage small enough to fit the trunk of the car! but for your comfort splitting the fare with a max. of 2 others would be best in this case. Do note that the fares mentioned here are for the objective to give you a perspective and you may have 20% fare drop or hike in your case of use.
