The Sprite had a run to our Christmas Luncheon at Goomalling. Events : Chittering Car Day: Sun 18 Nov. 9a-3p, Lower Chittering Oval. A good show with plenty of cars on display. A few of our Members in attendance including 2 of our newer Members. GM Owners Day Car Show- 18 Nov. Blue Steel Oval. No report to hand AVVVA Christmas Luncheon: Sun 25 Slater Homestead, Goomalling.This Event was enjoyed by all who attended. The Homestead has been beautifully restored, the Luncheon was very good, all a credit to the Community. Chidlow Tavern: Blue Car Day, Sun 2 Dec. from 11am, support Beyond Blue. No report to hand

3 AVVVA Northam Vintage Swapmeet: 17 Feb a -12p. A Sunday morning well spent in aid of Community. Shannons Classic Car Show 2019, March 24. At Ascot, Strictly a to 3pm. Drip trays on paving. No own bbqs Northam MotorSport Festival 6 & 7 th Apr.2019 Flying 50 and car display in Northam CBD Moondyne Festival, Toodyay- 5 May Enjoyable street festival re Moondyne Joe & his escapades. Kite Art Environmental Festival- proposed for Sun. 26 th May 2019 Lake Perkolilli-Red Dust Revival 2019: Sept. 25k from Kalgoorlie, bare bones camping Nat.Mach.Hist.Assoc. 17 th National Rally, Mar Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge, SA. Registration available Aust.Hist.Motor.Feder National Motoring Tour- 28Mar-4April Aubury/Wodonga. All Austin & Morris Day 20 October 2019 CLUB RUNS: Also discussed a move to have more Club Runs on meeting days, at least 3 or 4 times a year, and so involve more of our Members with the Club and its activities. The Car Show calendar becomes quite congested during the year, so at the moment the months of March, June, & September will be looked into. The Run to and Meeting at Cunderdin in October 2018 was ideal, The Meeting and morning tea at the Cunderdin Mens Shed, then all moved on to the Cunderdin Car & Hot Rod Show.Places of interest mentioned, Ford Farm Museum at Bailup, The Nut Farm between Northam & York, York Motor Museum, Member s Museum at Beverley, Quairading Mens Shed, Yenyening Lakes further south of Beverley, Wyalkatchem Museum. To further this project expressions of interest and input are welcome. Swapmeet Booking of Toilets, St John Ambulance & Avon Waste bins confirmed. Confirmation of 3 Food, Coffee & Icecream vans to hand, and Risk Management plans with the Shire. Permits, authorisations and other issues to be finalised in mid January, with a visit to the Oval to check status and proposed use. Moved: Rob Bell. Secnd: Ken Hammond That the reports be accepted Carried New Members: Nil General Business: * January 2019 Meeting: Due to an important prior commitment, it was decided by the Members present to hold the January meeting on Saturday the 12 th January. The 26 th January was ruled out due to Public Holiday. *Constitution: Concern with Status of our Club We have many Members but too few with input of responsibilities to and running of the Club and associated Events. It is all Members responsibility to attend at least three events annually, either meetings, work or Club events or gazetted events. These attendances need to be communicated to the Club for recording purposes General Meetings of course are automatically recorded in the minutes. Other Clubs have introduced a system whereby if 3 events are not attended the fee is doubled, with the extra fee needing to be paid before any renewal can be recorded. This subject of concern needs to be reported to the persons updating our Constitution. * Here in Spirit : Although an apology for the meeting, Ed Fawkes was here in the flesh up until the meeting, He left behind an array of Christmas Spirit, inside and outside of the Clubrooms. Peter Prytulak proposed a thanks to Ed for his effort. Photos had already been taken before the meeting, these destined for the next newsletter. Thanks Ed *Alternative Venues: Future venues for Swapmeet. Last year we lost the old Pavilion, although not a huge area it has negated the point of power and shade for us. This year we have lost the ground for public parking on the corner opposite MacDonalds, so the advertised limited parking for buyers are even more limited. Jubilee Oval is of course in Town, ideally placed and accessible, however as our limitations increase to hold the Swapmeet there, we may have to find an alternative venue. We have been advised that another venue is available to us if and when we need to move. It is close to Town, very accessible, with plenty of parking for Public and an enclosure for Seller parking. There being no further business, the President closed the meeting at 10.40am. Next Meeting Sat. January 12th, Clubrooms
