2 IMPROVING PASSENGER EXPERIENCE ON THE VALENCIAN APRON VALENCIA - SPAIN AENA Aeropuertos has chosen ADELTE to provide two new generation Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridges to the Mediterranean airport of Valencia, Spain, where the number of annual travelers is expected to increase up to 15 million over the next few years. The two electromechanical glass-sided units with two crescent sections operating at gate E16 and F17 are equipped with ADELTE s Pre-conditioned Air Units ZEPHIR, Automatic Hose Retriver AEOLUS and Auxiliary Hose Retriever CONSUS. An innovative underground system enables ADELTE s GSE solutions to be used independently of the Apron Drive. Versatility, flexibility and efficiency are now a reality on the Valencian apron. EFFICIENT, SAFE AND COMFORTABLE BOARDING AT BORDEAUX AIRPORT BORDEAUX - FRANCE ADELTE has supplied two innovative Apron Drives to Bordeaux-Merignac Airport, the largest French airport in the region of Aquitaine, which sees almost 4 million passengers each year. ADELTE S new boarding bridges are a key part of the ongoing works to update the airport facilities and improve both travelers experience and aircraft services. These two new units consisting of three crescent sections with electromechanical mechanism and services stairs on the left side of the cabine meet the highest standards and demands of a wide range of aircraft and airline companies and offer maximum safety and comfort for both passengers and operators. 3 ADVANCED BOARDING BRIDGE TECHNOLOGY FOR THE EUROPEAN CAPITAL BRUSSELS - BELGIUM ADELTE has accomplished the installation of two Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridges contracted by Brussels Airport Company. The electromechanical and glass-sided PBBs that will operate at gates E71 and E74, have been designed to be perfectly integrated with the architecture of the Belgium first airport terminal. Two made-to-measure enclosed walkways of respectively 17m and 69m connect the PBBs to the terminal and guaranty all passengers, including those with reduced mobility, an easy and comfortable access to the stationed aircraft independently of outside weather conditions. ADELTE recently signed a contract with La Réunion s Roland Garros Airport, for the design, manufacturing and installation of two state-of-theart Passenger Boarding Bridges. Situated in the Indian Ocean, the international airport of La Réunion is getting prepared to provide commercial aircrafts, including the A380, and their passengers the best docking and boarding service. In view of this, ADELTE will design two Apron Drive PBBs, each with two sections, glass tunnels and air-conditioned rooftops and hurricane tie-down solutions. These innovative and versatile units will complete the other six PBBs currently operating on the French island. GETTING READY FOR THE A380 LA RÉUNION - FRANCE BAGHDAD TO DOUBLE ITS PASSENGER CAPACITY BAGHDAD - IRAK ADELTE has accomplished the delivery of six new Passenger Boarding Bridge for the Terminal C of Baghdad International Airport. According to the contract awarded by the Iraq Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA), ADELTE has provided six walkways and six Apron Drive PBBs equipped with glass-sided tunnels, hydraulic mechanism, twelve rooftops and nine 400Hz Power Units. These advanced Apron solutions, which have improved docking, passenger embarkation and disembarkation and maintenance operations at the first Iraq Airport, contribute to ICAA s goal of doubling its current capacity up to 15 million passengers per year. 4 ADELTE has successfully completed the installation of three last generation Passenger Boarding Bridges commissioned by the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA) for El Salvador International Airport, the third-busiest in Central America by passenger traffic. The unique design of these Apron Drive PBBs includes two crescent sections, steel tunnels and an electromechanical mechanism for traction and lifting. The units will serve a wide range of aircraft, adapting perfectly to the current and future needs of airlines operating at El Salvador s main airport. In addition to the contract signed with the Portuguese airport of Faro for technical survey and maintenance of eleven Apron Drive Passenger Boarding Bridges, ADELTE was contracted recently for the update and refurbishment of 25 PBBs in total, at the airports of Barcelona-El Prat in Spain, Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées in France and Port Bouet in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Once modernized, the PBBs will offer a significant increase in reliability and efficiency, resulting in lower operating costs, and will let the airports provide an optimum service to airlines, ensuring complete safety and comfort for passengers and operators.
