As your feed advisor probably tells you, your cows will produce more milk if they get a homogenous mix, together with straw that is not too long or too short. At ±10 cm, the bacteria in the rumen can best process the fibre in the straw. If the straw is cut short, it will turn to "porridge". If too long, your cows will be able to pick out the concentrate and so not get enough fibre.

With their specially designed, extra sharp, upper knives, they make quick work of even large, light round bales, reducing long straw to homogenous, easy to digest lengths. Vertical mobile mixers are available with single augers and in a wide range of sizes. Key features: Double the lifetime Tungsten carbide coated knives give you double the life time compared to chrome vanadium. Recommended if loading more than five times per day. Protective ring Good homogenous mix Friction between the feed, the auger and the chamber wall ensure a good homogenous mix. Strong chassis The vertical mixer consists of a robust chassis and a mixing container connected by load cells. Problem-free load cells All load cells are connected directly to the scale indicator without the need for a junction box. This eliminates connection problems. No-spill protection ring The wagon is equipped with a protection ring that prevents light feed spilling out of the container, making the mixer chamber stable and robust.
