LAX Terminals: An Agent s One- Stop Guide LAX Airport is the most convenient and popular gateway to North America. The airport features nine terminals, however most Aussies fly into Tom Bradley International Terminal (Qantas, Virgin Australia, Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways), as well as Terminals 4 & 5 with American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, and 7 & 8 with United Airlines. With exciting redevelopments, underway or complete at each LAX terminal, along with state- of- the- art terminal connectors that make transfers between them easy and quick - why not explore further afield? TIP: A same- day valid boarding pass will enable travellers to move freely between the terminals, so why not pass the time by ticking off a favourite Californian retail store or popular restaurant on their hit list. Terminal 1 With a USD $508 million upgrade underway, visitors to Terminal 1 can expect some major changes when the project finishes in spring Having opened in 1984, the upgrades have improved its interior, including 24 new retail and dining concepts, an improved outdoor aircraft parking ramp area and seamless traffic flow through the Central Terminal Area. TIP: For last minute keepsakes, head to I Love L.A. for affordable products that promote the diverse city and culture of L.A. to the world. Here you ll find indigenous gifts from Los Angeles and California, including See s Candies, Guess and Disney. Carriers: Southwest Airlines 1 2
Terminal 2 A USD $300 million renovation is in progress at Terminal 2, featuring a new design theme that reflects the energy of L. A s on- the- go culture. Travellers will soon be delighted by 18 fresh retail and dining concepts, as well as lounge- style seating with more charging stations. Carriers: Aer Lingus Areomexico Air Canada Avianca Hainan Airlines Hawaiian Air Interjet Airlines Qatar Airlines Sun Country TACA Thomas Cook Airlines Virgin Atlantic Volaris West Jet XL Airways France TIP: Check out BUILT Custom Burgers to design your dream burger, with choices of bun, cheese, meat, sauce and filling. Plus, the customisation extends to fries and shakes so this dining concept is a whole experience for all ages! 3 4
Terminal 3 While no terminal upgrades are currently underway, Terminal 3 is still getting some TLC nearby, with improvements to nearby Parking Structure 3 in progress. Carriers: Allegiant Air Boutique Air Frontier JetBlue Spirit Virgin America Virgin Australia (departures) TIP: Frequent travellers to Los Angeles may have visited the popular Angel City Brewery in the Arts District of Downtown L.A. Rather than reflecting the glitz and glam of the iconic city, they pride themselves on reflecting the grit, saying they are: proud to rough things up a bit and work beneath the shiny surface. Visitors to Terminal 3 can enjoy their unique, creative flair over a local craft beer that is made proudly in the City of Angels. 5 6
Terminal 4 The newly completed USD $148- million Terminal 4 Connector is a multi- use, multi- level facility, providing a convenient link to Tom Bradley International Terminal allowing passengers to move more freely to reach connecting flights. In just five minutes, travellers can use the existing people movers to take in the sleek eco- friendly design and impressive alfresco views. Terminal 4 also has some recently completed upgrades, which include new elevators, escalators and ticketing counters, plus 17 great restaurants and shops. TIP: Los Angles first kicked off the popular food truck trend and LAX reflects its spiritual home in Terminal 4. The truck is situated on- site to capitalise on the whimsical, inviting nature of this trend, whilst offering the accessibility and reliability of an ordinary restaurant. Here travellers can enjoy a rotating line- up of local gourmet cuisine, curated by some of the city s most interesting chefs. Past contributors have included iconic Chef Roy Choi from Kogi BBQ and Border Grill with their menu of tacos and cerviches. Grilled Cheese Please! is currently in residence. Carriers American Airlines Lounges American Airlines Admirals Club American Airlines International First Class Lounge 7 8
Terminal 5 The USD $229 million modernisation of Terminal 5 has wrapped up, providing travellers with 19 great dining and shopping options, an expanded ticketing lobby, more security screening checkpoints, and new baggage carousels. From the end of January 2017, American Airlines will be gating at Terminal 5 instead of Terminal 6. At the same time, Delta will increase their gate presence at Terminal 6. TIP: For a VIP celebrity style experience, check out the newly renovated Delta Sky Club Lounge and the airline s first private check- in lounge Delta ONE at LAX. Delta One customers flying from Sydney can enjoy a dedicated curb- side drop- off, a private check- in, expedited security and personalised customer service. Carriers Delta Airlines Lounges Terminal 5 is home to the newly renovated Delta SkyClub lounge the first private check- in lounge for Delta ONE. 9 10
Terminal 6 Terminal 6 has undergone a USD $238 million in improvements, with many completed, including new ticketing counters, check- in kiosks, more security screening checkpoints, a bigger lobby and enhanced décor. The brand new "Sunset Boulevard"- themed concessions featuring 21 dining and retail options is currently under construction. From the end of January 2017, American Airlines will be gating at Terminal 5 instead of Terminal 6. At the same time, Delta will increase their gate presence at Terminal 6. TIP: Foodies and fans of celebrity- chefs, may like to check out The Marketplace by Los Angeles local Wolfgang Puck. The eatery combines three of the well- known traditional offers The Kitchen, The Kitchen Counter and WPizza. Enjoy a custom- made pizza, salad or sandwich in the airport or on your flight. Carriers: Alaska Airlines Copa (departures) Great Lakes Mokulele Airlines 11 12
Terminal 7 & Terminal 8 Renovations currently in progress at Terminal 7 & 8 will see expanded ticketing lobbies, improved security screening checkpoints and enhanced seating with more charging stations. TIP: As part of the renovation, LAX has transformed many of its public spaces into free, contemporary art installations with 11 exhibition sites dotted across the Terminals. The Departures Hallway of Terminal 7 and 8 is currently featuring a work titled Like Sound Going Sideways by Timothy Nolan. The collages and collage based prints provide an attractive space for travellers to enjoy. Carriers United Airlines United Express Lounges United Club Terminal 7 Lounge 13 14

Tom Bradley International Terminal With a USD $1.9 billion in completed improvements, Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) features a central "Great Hall" with top notch dining, retail shopping, airline club lounges and a giant integrated media system. Australian powerhouse Westfield has transformed the retail and dining spaces to reflect the local Californian culture, so don t expect any tedious global chains you ll find at other airports. Shops include Michael Kors, Fred Segal and See s Candies so you can return home with your own keepsake from the City of Angels. TIP: Arrive earlier for your flight to enjoy your last taste of L.A. from local favourites including Ink.Sack, Umami Burger and Border Grill. If you want to fly like a celebrity, pick uo a take- away caviar pack from Petrossian Caviar & Champagne Bar Carriers TBIT services 40 airlines into the terminal, with four flying routes from Australia including: Air New Zealand Fiji Airways Qantas Virgin Australia (Arrivals) Lounges oneworld Alliance Lounge KAL Lounge Qantas Lounge Star Alliance Lounge Etihad Airways Lounge L.A.
