Advanced AIS Training There is a big gap among States in Asia and Pacific region in terms of AIM implementation as they embark on transition to the new framework based on the Roadmap. In January of 2013, COSCAP and AIS of Mongolia coorganized the Basic AIS training for Asia Pacific region. The training was sponsored by Boeing and Airbus and attended by participants from Malaysia, DPRK and Mongolia. Having previously participated in Basic AIS training in Ulaanbaatar, General Administration of Civil Aviation (GACA) of DPRK identified the need for advanced training for their AIS personnel. The training was held in Ulaanbaatar city from 06 to 14 February During this training, DPRK participants were provided with knowledge of roadmap phases and steps AMDT 37 of Annex 15, QMS and other new SARPs related to AIM. 4 CAAM Cooperative Activities Basic AIS Training January 2013, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia AIM Quality assurance seminar & AAITF/ May 2013, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia We were approached by Malaysia for possible consulting services in terms of introduction of AIM automation system and Quality management system. Review of QMS being implemented by Malaysian AIS was carried out in March, 2014 and detailed report including recommendations on improvement of this system was delivered. Mongolia is providing assistance to Malaysia in terms of migration into database centric aeronautical information management system environment

COSCAP North Asia and CAAM have successfully partnered in providing assistance to some of these States and we hope this partnership will continue in the future. AIS Division of CAAM has been one of the pioneers in implementation AIM requirements in Asia and Pacific region and sharing our knowledge and expertise will always be one of our top priorities. COSCAP cooperation is much appreciated and we look forward to the fruitful cooperation of COSCAP and CAAM in the transition from aeronautical information services to aeronautical information management.
