2 Exotic Wings #47: NATO Tigers There are few events like it - the world-famous NATO Tiger Meet is a massive concentration of European airpower, with constant action and amazing special schemes. Exotic Wings #47 Goals EWG1: Shoot the NATO Tigers in action at a French AF Rafale base. EWG2: Shoot all the action of a multinational exercise in as time-conservative way as possible. EWG3: Improve your photography or develop your skills whilst shooting European fast-jet action. This year it is being held at the super busy French AF Rafale base of Mont de Marsan in beautiful southern France. We ll be spending a full day there at the NATO/FAF-organised Spotters Day. This event will be a sell-out, and you will have the ticket application process taken care of without worry. Once the action is over, it ll be time to head back home, thus ensuring as short and efficient trip as possible. Your travel with COAP will ensure you are part of a small, flexible and photographyfocussed group, offering the highest degree of flexibility to ensure a maximum return with a minimal time outlay (and not forgetting a great social scene!). IMPORTANT MESSAGE Although this is an organised event, it is hosted by fully operational units and every aspect of this visit is subject to security, operational, technical and weather issues. As such, COAP, IAAT, the units/bases and any other operators involved in this Assignment are not responsible for cancellation at any stage or non-flying activity. Safety and Insurance is your own responsibility and risk. PROVISIONAL ITINERARY DAY 1: THURSDAY, 16th MAY Between 12:00 and 12:30 please go to the EasyJet check-in/bag-drop counters in Departures at London Luton Airport. Then meet Rich Cooper of COAP and your fellow photographers who will be gathering in the immediate vicinity. Do not go through to the gate until you have made yourself known to COAP. At this busy time of the day for going through airport security we recommend that you arrive at checkin/bag drop at least 90mins prior to departure, i.e. 12:25. London Luton, Flight EZY2033, departs 13:55 Arrives Bordeaux Airport, 16:40 YOUR HOTEL INFO Hotel Les Bruyeres Castets, MdM, France SMALL PRINT Operational caveats apply (see above). Here we meet with those passengers joining us on a Land Only basis, meeting in the Arrivals Hall between 17:00 and 17:45 (depending on baggage/security clearance). We then transfer to Castets, 107 miles to the south which takes around 1½ hours. On arrival we check in at the 3* Hotel Les Bruyeres where we stay 2 nights on a half board basis (bed, breakfast and 3-course evening meal (drinks not included). DAY 3: SATURDAY 18th MAY This morning we return to Bordeaux Airport. The actual time of our departure will be decided once we have everyone s return flight and check-in times. 5 BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS This EW programme has very limited places to be quick! This EW is open for bookings from 12:00hrs on Wednesday 6th March. In order to book your place, please go to... Sign into your COAP account and click the green Book Now button to go to the dedicated IAAT booking site. Locate EW47 NATO Tigers and click Book Now. Complete the booking form and hit Submit. You will receive an acknowledgement from IAAT of your request and will be contacted in order to confirm the flights, price and collect full payment. EW COST EVENT: EW47 / From 545 per person From 695 per person 30 mandatory NTM/Show entrance ticket price (payable in Sterling at booking at current conversion). Land Only (no flight to France).
