The Minimum stay on your airline ticket is 7 days and the max.validity is 1 year Eticket Your flight tickets are etickets which means that your booking and ticketing details are stored safely on the airlines computer reservation system, removing the need to provide you with a paper ticket. If this is the case, it is your responsibility to ensure that these dates are changed once your preferred dates become bookable and at least 7 days prior to the provisional departure date. Cancellation Conditions The ticket is 85% non refundable if unflown and 100% non-refundable if part flown or cancelled within 72 hours of departure. Some sectors are now operated by Jetstar, the Qantas owned `no frills` service and will be noted as such on your Itinerary. Free baggage allowance is 20kg. Any balances paid by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) are subject to a fee of 2.5% and Amex 3.0%. There is no fee for debit cards (such as Maestro or Visa Delta or Solo). All deposits are non-refundable. E tickets Please note 99% of all airline tickets are now E-Tickets (Electronic tickets) which means your booking and ticketing details are stored safely on the airlines computer reservation system, removing the need to provide you with a paper ticket. Names & Passport It is essential that the first and family names you gave us (which appear on this Booking Confirmation or Itinerary) are exactly as they appear in each passengers passport. You must advise us immediately if this is not the case. There are many restrictions on changing names with airlines and where possible it is always at a cost. roundtheworldflights.com cannot accept responsibility for these costs. Please ensure that you have all the required travel documents for your entire journey i.e. a valid machine-readable passport (with at least 6 months validity left & please note a new passport can take a minimum of 10 days to issue). Visas Please check you have valid visas for every country you want to visit. Every year many people forget to get an Australian visa, a US ESTA or an Indian visa and the result can be misery, major delays and substantial additional costs. For further visa advice please visit Departure Taxes/Fuel Surcharges Airline ticket prices and pre-paid taxes are not guaranteed until your full balance has been received and your tickets issued. With the introduction of airline fuel surcharges, due to higher oil prices, these pre-paid taxes are liable to increase considerably. These charges are at the airlines discretion and are out of our control. In addition to pre-paid airports taxes, some countries require that you pay the departure tax locally. Changing Your Booking Before leaving the UK we will endeavour to assist in making any requested changes to confirmed bookings. However, fees may apply and some changes are not always possible. In addition, you will be liable for any additional costs levied by a service provider or incurred by us. Please note your airline tickets are only valid for max one year from the date of issue. After your departure, dates can be easily changed by either contacting your consultant or the airline locally. During your trip you will be spending a lot of time in airports - this is the best time to contact the airline. This is what most passengers do 99% of the time. Not on the phone (where service can be sporadic) but in person. Reconfirmation of flights You must reconfirm all flights with the airline locally, at least 72 hours in advance. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your reservation. If your airline does not require you to reconfirm you should still check your booking online at to see if there have been any schedule changes (RTW flight times do change a lot over a year!). Health It is the travellers responsibility to obtain professional medical advice for their trip and to take all necessary health precautions - Your GP can give you advice - please visit a GP or a reputable travel clinic.
