We are going to take you to places where tour groups normally don t go. Our base will be outside the town of Rawsonville (near Worcester) at the ATKV Goudini Spa holiday resort. You ll travel on the Trans Karoo Tourist Class train from Gauteng to the Western Cape, sleep in a top resort whilst traveling by bus to excursions before returning home by flight. EXCLUDED FROM THE TOUR PRICE Personal expenses, meals not mentioned, gratuities and Comprehensive Travel Insurance. MEALS ROUTE Daily breakfasts (5x) and daily dinners (5x) on the train as well as at the resort are served and are included in the price, unless otherwise indicated. The train route goes from Johannesburg via Krugersdorp, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Kimberley, De Aar, Beaufort West and Laingsburg to Worcester. The bus route goes from Worcester to Goudini Spa, as well as via Franschhoek and Stellenbosch to Cape Town airport. (The route may change without prior notice). 5 BUSSES We only make use of reputable bus companies with good safety records and back-up services in place when needed. Comfortable buses are used. EXCURSIONS The following entry fees are included in the tour price: Wine tasting at du Toitskloof cellars. The others are either free of charge or for your own pocket. Wine Tasting Tobacco processing ACCOMMODATION We ll be staying for one night on the train and four nights in chalets at the ATKV Goudini Spa Resort (outside the town of Rawsonville, near Worcester). Click here for more information about the resort. Due to bus capacity constraints, each tour is limited to a maximum of 40 people. Passengers will be accommodated in a 4-bed compartment or ACCOMMODATION ON THE TRAIN 2-bed coupe on the train (Trans Karoo Tourist Class train). The number of coupes on the train is limited. ACCOMMODATION AT GOUDINI SPA You ll be accommodated in a 4-bed chalet with two bedrooms. Each chalet has got a bedroom with a double or twin beds, a second bedroom with 2 x single beds, a lounge/living area and kitchen, one bath room with toilet, TV plus outside BBQ. Please take a beach towel along for pool and use on the train. pg. 5

6 FACILITIES AT GOUDINI SPA Apart from an indoor heated pool, as well as outside pools, you can enjoy hiking trails, mini golf, tennis, Super tube, trampolines, mineral bath and Jacuzzi, bird watching, horse riding, volleyball, snooker and pool as well as a games arcade. A licensed restaurant, convenience store, beauty clinic, as well as a laundry and ATM, fast food restaurant and off-sales ensure that you don t need to go shopping elsewhere during the period at the resort. 7 Provisional PROGRAMME Boland Breede River Region, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch Train & Flight Tour from Gauteng Day 1 Sunday On arrival at the station you ll be welcomed by the tour guide. Board the train, unpack, make yourself comfortable and start enjoying the trip. The tour guide will visit you in your compartment and you can start preparing for your welcome dinner (included in tour price). Other passengers will join us en route. Enjoy the scenery from you train s window. The train travels overnight. Day 2 Monday After breakfast on the train we ll disembark at Worcester at about midday, board the bus and travel a short distance (25 km) to Goudini Spa. However, en route we ll do a short detour and stop at a wine cellar for a wine tasting opportunity. The evening is at leisure and dinner is served (included in the tour price). Overnight at Goudini Spa Resort. Distance by bus today: 30 km Days 3-5 Tuesday - Thursday Breakfast is served. Today you are at leisure at the resort. Explore the resort and enjoy the facilities that is on offer: Heated indoor pool and cold water outdoor pools, courts, Jacuzzi, mini golf and hiking trails are available as well. (Dinner included in tour price) Distance by bus today: 0 km Day 6 Friday After an early breakfast you ll check out at the resort, board the bus and we proceed to Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Both are not only two of the oldest towns in South Africa, it is probably two of the most beautiful towns. Both are well known for the good wines produced in their regions, as well as the good food.
